Multiple teams race around the globe for $1,000,000 to 'amazing' locations.
The sixth season of The Amazing Race saw 11 teams race for $1,000,000 around the globe to 'amazing' locations including Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Senegal, Germany, Hungary, Corsica, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, China and Hawaii. The contestants included five models, two professional wrestlers, spinning instructors, an ex-Playboy playmate and a former striptease aerobics instructor. However only the fastest were able to make it all the way around the world and win $1,000,000, and this season, it was Freddy and Kendra who won the big prize.
1The Race Begins
05 Sep 2001Description ▼
In Central Park in New York City, eleven teams begin the Amazing Race. The teams are as follows: Rob and Brennan: lawyers and friends, Frank and Margarita: separated parents, Joe and Bill: a gay couple also known as Team Guido, Kevin and Drew: fraternity brothers and friends, Nancy and Emily: mother and daughter, Lenny and Karyn: dating, Paul and Amie: engaged couple, Dave and Margaretta: older, married couple, Pat and Brenda: working moms, Kim and Leslie: single teachers and friends, Matt and Ana: married. Upon host Phil Keoghan's signal, the teams race to John F. Kennedy airport to take flights to Johannesburg, South Africa. Traveling by taxi and subway, all of the teams eventually arrive at the airport and board flights. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, teams must find a local airport and book charter flights to Zambia leaving the next morning. Once they are in Zambia, they can either hire a driver or drive themselves--some teams chose to use a local driver. The first stop of the morning is Victoria Falls, specifically to a location named the Knife's Edge. The teams receive a clue telling them to make their way to Batoka Gorge. Hiking down to Boiling Point, Rob and Brennan snag the fast-forward which allows them to skip ahead to the first pit stop of the race. The other teams face the detour named air or land, where they either zip line, and then bungee to the bottom of the gorge (air) or hike to the bottom of the gorge (land). All of the teams choose the air option. After the task is complete, teams receive a clue sending them to pit stop at Songwe Village. The teams arrive at the pit stop in the following order, 1. Rob and Brennan (due to the fast-forward), 2. Joe and Bill, 3. Frank and Margarita, 4. Lenny and Karyn, 5. Pat and Brenda, 6. Kim and Leslie, 7. Dave and Margaretta, 8. Paul and Amie, 9. Kevin and Drew, 10. Nancy and Emily, 11. Matt and Ana. Matt and Ana are the least team to arrive and are eliminated from the race.

11 Mar 2002Description ▼
The eleven teams arrive via helicopter in the desert outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Their destination is unknown until they rip open the clues waiting on their backpacks. Making their way to the airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, the teams fly to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and find a clue located at the "Big Man" (aka the statue of Christ the Redeemer). The clue instructs them to take a ferry to Paqueta Island and kiss "Fat Maria" (a tree). The next morning, the boats ferry teams back to Rio de Janeiro where they travel by gondola to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Teams face a detour--either return back down Sugarloaf, go to Ipanema beach and track down the "Girl from Ipanema" or rappel 590-feet down the granite face of Sugarloaf Mountain. After the detour is complete, teams travel by boat to the finish line--located on a yacht anchored in the harbor. The last team to arrive will be eliminated form the race.

Phil Keoghan, host of Amazing Race, stands in the middle of the Everglades Swamp waiting the arrival of twelve teams about to commence the race of a lifetime. As Phil yells, "go," the teams race for cars to drive themselves to the Miami airport and fly to Mexico City, Mexico. In Mexico City, the teams are directed to find the statue of the Angel of Independence to obtain their next clue. This sends them to the Hotel de Cortes where they will board one of three charter buses in the morning. Having arrived at their destination, teams must choose one of two detours--either skydive from 10,000 feet or ride a donkey cart for seven miles. After successfully finishing the detour, teams make their way to the pit stop.

29 May 2003Description ▼
At Dodger's Stadium, Phil greets the twelve teams of two people and starts the race around the world with a hearty, "The world is waiting for you." The teams in this season are: Reichen and Chip: a gay married couple, Kelly and Jon: engaged, David and Jeff: friends, Jon and Al: circus clowns, Millie and Chuck: dating couple who are virgins, Tian and Jaree: friends, Monica and Sheree: pro-football wives, Steve and Dave: air traffic controllers, Steve and Josh: father and son. Russell and Cindy: friends, Amanda and Chris: dating from South Dakota, Debra and Steve: married. The teams scurry for their cars and race through the streets of Los Angeles to arrive at the airport and fly to Milan, Italy. After landing in Italy, the teams head for the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to find their next clue. The clue directs the couples to find bus tickets hidden in local shops. Once a team takes a ticket (it has a time on it), they may not exchange it. The buses travel to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the middle of the night-starting at 2:00am. In Cortina, the teams take a chairlift to the top of Cinque Torri, and must choose a detour: either search or rescue. In search, teams use a locater beacon to find a signal beneath the snow and use a snowmobile to travel to the next clue. In rescue, teams walk to two of rock towers and cross a rescue bridge made of only four cables and then zip line across a ravine. On the way to the chairlift, Steve (one of the air traffic controllers) injures his knee. Monica and Sheree grab the fast forward by using snowshoes to trek to the top of a field, and make their way to the pit stop at Hotel Lajadira. The teams arrive at the pit stop in the following order: 1. Millie and Chuck (tie), 1. Steve and Josh (tie), 1. Amanda and Chris (tie), 4. Monica and Sheree, 5. Dave and Steve, 6. Kelly and Jon, 7. Jon and Al, 8. Russell and Cindy, 9. Chip and Reichen, 10. David and Jeff, 11. Tian and Jaree, Having run into problems at the "rescue" detour, Debra and Steve are the last to reach the pit stop and are eliminated.

07 Jul 2004Description ▼
On the Santa Monica Pier in California, Phil Keoghan starts eleven teams on the adventure of a life time and warns them of a new twist in the race. Teams for the fifth installment of The Amazing Race are as follows: 1. Chip and Kim: married, 2. Colin and Christie: models, 3. Brandon and Nicole: models, 4. Linda and Karen: bowling Moms, 5. Kami and Karli: identical twins, 6. Charla and Mirna: cousins, 7. Marshal and Lance: brothers, 8. Bob and Joyce: dating via Internet, 9. Jim and Marsha: father and daughter, 10. Alison and Donny: the Big Brother 4 runner-up and her boyfriend, 11. Dennis and Erika: formerly engaged. As teams race off the pier, Marsha's father, Jim, falls and injures his knee which requires stitches and nearly causes his team to miss the flight. Teams make their way to Los Angeles International airport where they will fly to Montevideo, Uruguay, where they must locate the "hand in the sand"--a statue on the beach. Once they find the clue, teams travel by ferry to Gorriti Island. On the island, they must find times for ferries leaving the next morning--the timed tickets are hidden on eleven of one hundred trees. The next morning, teams travel by ferry to the suburb of Maldonado, where they carry a 55-pound side of beef for one-half mile from a warehouse to a local butcher. The new twist in the race is revealed: teams may use a Yield which can slow down any team for a predetermined amount of time. Upon completing the task of carrying the meat, teams go to the Conrad Hotel in Punte Del Este and complete a detour: zips or chips. In zips, teams ride a zip line 18 stories from the hotel's roof and drop into the hotel's swimming pool. In chips, teams play roulette with 20 chips in the hotel's casino--the number they bet on must be a winner. Karli, Kami, Chip and Kim all miss the important step of finding the route marker directing them to the detour, but luck into the detour on their own. Once teams finish the detour, they head for the pit stop at the Casa Del Pueblo. When Karli, Kami, Chip and Kim arrive at the pit stop, Phil sends them back to find the route marker--delaying their arrival at the pit stop. So due to the mistake, teams officially arrive in the following order: 1. Alison and Donny, 2. Marshall and Lance, 3. Linda and Karen, 4. Bob and Joyce, 5. Charla and Mirna, 6. Brandon and Nicole, 7. Colin and Christie, 8. Chip and Kim, 9. Kami and Karli, 10. Jim and Marsha, 11. Dennis and Erika. Since they were the last to arrive, Dennis and Erika are eliminated from the race.

25 Nov 2007Description ▼
Staying in Burkina Faso, one task involves loading a bicycle with many items and delivering the items to a particular stall in a maze of market stalls. Then teams choose between trying to impress local celebrities with their tribal dancing skills or panning for gold. Open with the teams heading to the Spanish Synagogue in Prague. Meghan & Cheyne are confident they are the favorites at this point. At the synagogue they are directed to the Ekotechnicke Museum. Sam & Dan reflect on their new role as show villains. At the museum Meghan & Cheyne learn about this week's Roadblock: One team member must go to a Kafkaesque room filled with ringing telephones. Five of the phones will have a person on the other end giving them one letter of Prague writer Franz Kafka's first name. They then must put the letters together to form 'Franz' before receiving their next clue.Meghan starts the Roadblock by using animals to remember the letters. The Globetrotters head out. Meghan gets all five letters and figures out the word on her second attempt. They are directed to a kryocentrum. Dan begins working on the telephone room.Brian & Ericka start racing and tell us they are not concerned about the Speed Bump they have this week after finishing last the previous episode. The Globetrotters get to the museum and Big Easy works on the phones. Dan gets all five letters and takes a first, incorrect stab at spelling Franz.Meghan & Cheyne get to the kryocentrum where they must spend two minutes in a cryotherapy chamber. Brian & Ericka get their Speed Bump, which is basically having to go to a pub and doing a shot of absinthe. Dan still doesn't know if he's looking for an English word or a Czech word. Big Easy gets his fifth letter and goes to the office where Dan is guessing. Dan and Big Easy decide to work together on figuring out the word. Meghan & Cheyne leave the kryocentrum for the Charles Bridge. Brian & Ericka do their shot.Dan gets the word right, but decides not to tell Big Easy the correct answer. He says only that the word begins with the letter 'F.' Big Easy keeps working as Brian begins the Roadblock.Meghan & Cheyne learn this week's Detour: Legend or Lager. In 'Legend,' teams must cover a heavy wodden golem with wet clay and take it across town to a synagogue. In 'Lager' they must carry 30 beers through the town square to a group of soccer hooligans. Meghan & Cheyne pick Legend.Sam & Dan get in the cryo chamber as Brian gets his fifth letter. Meghan & Cheyne start covering their golem as Sam & Dan head to the bridge. Brian figures out Franz after only a few attempts. Big Easy walks outside and the Globetrotters decide to skip the Roadblock and take a four hour penalty.Meghan & Cheyne finish covering the golem and start wheeling it across town. Brian & Ericka get into the cryo chamber as Sam & Dan pick Legend. Brian & Ericka pick Lager, as Meghan & Cheyne have their golem approved at the synagogue. Sam & Dan have covered their golem and begin taking it across town. Brian & Ericka take their first trays of beers.Meghan & Cheyne get to Phil as his leg's winners. They are qualified for the final three and win "52 TVs. Dan is complaining mightily about the weight of the golem. One hour into their penalty, Big Easy apologizes for not being able to figure out the word.Brian & Ericka drop their first trays of glasses. Brian talks Ericka out of changing to the other challenge. They start again and get a group of drinks to the hooligans. Sam & Dan have their golem approved and get to Phil in second place. With the sun now up, the Globetrotters finally are allowed to begin racing again. Brian & Ericka finish the Lager challenge and get to Phil in third.Flight Time & Big Easy are sent directly to Phil an told they have been eliminated from the race.

They have to get to the airport using public transportation. The models look stumped. There are two flights available, but only the first three teams will end up on the first flight. The second flight is an hour later. The clue is about Santiago, Chile.Jordan and Jeff ask a passing bus driver the fastest way there. Nearby Union Station. Brent and Caite stand at a bus stop while everybody runs around. Someone recognizes her as Miss Teen South Carolina. Jordan admits "when I saw her, I almost pooped myself." Then he recreates her answer almost verbatim: "Many Americans don't have maps and I think that countries like South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere and such as...."Louie and Michael stroll down the street and one tells the other: "C'mon man, Nanna is kickin' your butt."Joe is excited to hop on the Metro because he knows downtown so well. There are several other teams on the train but some miss it and have to wait 20 minutes.Looking at the itinerary, Jordan says she hasn't even heard of some of the countries. On a bus to the airport, the teams prepare to run. The moms reach the counter first, followed by Jordan and Jeff and Dana and Adrian. The lesbians, Carol and Brandy, are the first team on the second flight. They're going through Dallas. The people who took the Metro get the second flight. Caite listens as Jordan does his impression of her for the lesbians (as their team is quickly known). The cowboys change their money for Brazilian money (never mind that they're going to Chile). The lesbians actively root for the first flight to be delayed. And, lo and behold, the first flight is delayed by a maintenance problem. Dana and Adrian rebook. Jordan and Jeff follow suit, followed by the moms. Everyone's on the same flight. They fly through Miami to Santiago, where they have to take buses 60 miles to Valparaiso and take a funicular at some point for their next clue. The moms, models and high school sweethearts make the first bus.The cowboys discover their money issue when the driver doesn't take it. They're on the third bus.In Valparaiso everyone grabs cabs. Jeff and Jordan are in first and hang on for dear life as their cabbie does Speed Racer. The models pass them on the way and get the road block first. They have to walk across a cable, while holding onto another one and cross a valley. Caite volunteers, followed by Jordan. The moms and high school sweethearts are delayed by lost cabbies.Dan starts catching up to the girls on the wire, followed by Joe and Allie. It's windy so they're swaying pretty good up there.Caite finishes first. They have to take a funicular down the hill to the next clue. Somehow, the models miss this part and walk instead. The detectives and grandma and the cowboys finally get into their cabs.Dan gets off balance at one point and ends up hanging by his harness and pulling himself across in a sling instead of walking. Brandy starts to get panicky and thinks she's going to throw up.Shawne crosses, saying "God is with me" the whole way across. Adrian signs on before knowing heights are involved. He's afraid of heights.Jordan finishes second followed by the brothers.Caite and Brent reach a clue which says it's time to "paint the town."Phil explains that the city pays to repaint houses so they have to carry four cans up a hill with a ladder until they find the house matching their color. There, they paint an unfinished outside section and get the next clue from a painter. They have to wander around until they find their house.Brandy finally finishes, looking like she's about to pass out. They're in 6th.Louie gets on the wire and quickly catches up to Adrian mid-wire.The cowboys are still in last. The Big Brothers find their house first and get to painting. They finish in first and have to reach Palacio Baburizza, a 90 year old chalet and the first pit stop.Adrian is still on the wire as the final three teams approach. At one point he falls off completely and just hangs there. A safety person comes to help him and takes him all the way back to the other side. The detectives cheer him as they head on.The Big Brothers are first and win a trip to Vancouver. Brent and Caite are next, but they're busted for not taking the funicular down the hill and walking instead. They get a 30 minute penalty.Jordan and Dan have a problem when Dan realizes he dropped a brush.Meanwhile, Steve and Allie wander into someone's house and start painting a random wall as the locals wonder what the heck they're doing.Cord leaves Shannon in the dust as Adrian tries to get his courage up.The moms come in 2nd.Adrian finally gets back on the wire when Steve and Allie finally finish painting and realize they were supposed to be outside when the confused painter literally doesn't have a clue. The cowboys finish in 3rd, followed by Dan and Jordan, who get a 15 minute penalty for losing a paintbrush. After their penalty, the models are in 7th, with the brothers in 8th.Dana appreciates her husband continuing to try out on the wire. Then he falls again.Grandma comes in 10th.Phil comes to find Dana and Adrian and tells them they've been eliminated. Dana says they've had life challenges that can't compare to the wire. "Ultimately, we've got each other," says Adrian.

Open with everybody having spent the night in Valparaiso. Jordan & Jeff are first to learn the beginning of this week's leg: Teams will take a bus to Santiago where they must board another bus for the 500+ mile trip to Puerto Varas. There they will take a car followed by a boat, ultimately ending up at Todos los Santos Lake for the next clue. The bus station doesn't open for several hours, so all teams take the same board to Santiago. Carol & Brandy tell us they have more respect for Jordan & Jeff after the couple won the first leg. Jet & Cord tell us they are proud of their cowboy hats. Carol & Brady decide to form an alliance with Joe & Heidi. In Santiago teams begin working on acquiring tickets for Puerto Varas. Joe & Heidi and Carol & Brandy get the last four seats for a bus that arrives at 7am. Louie & Michael, Dan & Jordan, Monique & Shawne and Steve & Allie get seats on a bus leaving an hour later. Jody & Shannon buys tickets for a bus that arrives an house after the second wave.Jet & Cord, Brent & Caite and Jordan & Jeff god to a different terminal and see about getting to Puerto Varas via another city. All three teams learn that they can get their quicker if they go through a city named Temuco. Jet & Cord are on a slightly later bus, but all three will arrive in Puerto Varas approximately eight hours ahead of the other seven teams. In Temuco, Jet & Cord ask about getting tickets for the bus Brent & Caite and Jordan & Jeff are on, which leaves a half hour earlier. They learn that it departs from a different Temuco station, but elect not to tell the other couples. When 6:30 rolls around the other two couples finally realize their mistake and take a cab to the other station, only to be told they've missed their bus. They then take a cab back to the original station but miss getting on Jet & Cord's bus by seconds. The other four won't be able to leave Temuco for five hours.Jet & Cord get in their car and head to the Petrohue Hotel. They arrive hours ahead of the rest of the contestants but must wait to continue until the path opens at 7am.Carol & Brandy and Joe & Heidi are the next two couples to reach the cars and head for the hotel. They are followed shortly by Brent & Caite and Jordan & Jeff.Jet & Cord are finally able to board a boat for an island. The other four couples reach the boats as well and we see the bus carrying Dan & Jordan, Louie & Michael, Monique & Shawne and Steve & Allie has just now arrived in Puerto Varas. Last to their car, Dan & Jordan struggle with the standard transmission. We see that Jody & Shannon are still on their bus.Jet & Cord read this week's Detour. The options are Llama Adoration or Condor Consternation. The llama option consists of going to a pen with the animals and draping a ceremonial blanket over its back and tying a scarf around its neck. The condor option is basically jumping off a tall peer with condor wings and swimming through 50 feet of cold water to a clue. Jet & Cord pick the llama option. On the way back they realize their lead over Joe & Heidi and Carol & Brandy is small.Jet & Cord have little trouble finding an agreeable llama and finish the Detour quickly: Team must drive themselves to the Onces Bellavista Farm for their next clue. Joe & Heidi and Carol & Brandy start tracking down llamas. Brent & Caite select the condor option and jump off the edge in a ridiculous bird costume. The get no distance but quickly get their clue.Steve & Allie get the Detour clue in sixth place, followed closely by Louie & Michael.Joe finds a resting llama and they move into second place. Carol & Brandy aren't far behind after finally getting past the llama challenge. Monique & Shawne get to the island and select the llama option. Jordan & Jeff also pick the condor option and get their clue.Dan & Jordan struggle with directions and end up making a wrong turn on the way to the hotel. Steve & Allie go condor and get their clue in sixth. Only now are Jody & Shannon arriving at the bus stop in Puerto Varas.Dan & Jordan end up turning around and asking for directions. Louie & Michael are having difficulty with the llamas. Monique & Shawne have an easier time and move into seventh place. Louie & Michael corral a llama in one of the corners and leave in eighth. At the farm, Jet & Cord are first to get the Roadblock instructions. Teams must track down ingredients for a traditional German kuchen that is popular in that part of Chile. One member must get 13 eggs, milk straight from the cow, butter, sugar and flour. Once the items are carried to the women in the kitchen the team will get its next clue. Cord completes the Roadblock with ease and they learn they must drive to Gruta de la Virgen, this week's Pit Stop.Carol and Heidi tackle the Roadblock for their respective teams. Brent & Caite arrive at the farm and pick Brent to perform the challenge. Carol & Heidi finish the Roadblock. Jordan & Jeff get to the farm and pick Jeff.Dan & Jordan finally get the Detour clue, just ahead of Jody & Shannon. Jeff finishes and they leave the farm in fifth. Monique tackles the farm Roadblock for their team. Louie & Michael completely miss the turn for the farm.Dan & Jordan have little trouble with the llama Detour and leave a few minutes ahead of Jody & Shannon.Jet & Cord are first to Phil and are given sailboats for winning the leg. Joe & Heidi finish second, followed closely by Carol & Brandy. Monique has her ingredients approved at the farm. Steve is close behind. Louie & Michael are still completely lost.Brent & Caite finish the leg in fourth. Dan & Jordan finish the Detour and Jody & Shannon arrive at the farm. Louie & Michael are still heading down the road past their turn.Louie & Michael get going in the right direction.Monique & Shawne arrive at Phil in fifth position, followed by Jordan & Jeff in sixth.Louie & Michael get to the farm at the same time as Jody & Shannon. Michael will attempt the challenge and has trouble finding the pantry. Jody is working on milking a cow when she gets kicked in the head.Steve & Allie get to Phil in seventh place.Michael starts milking. He finishes and still can't find the pantry.Dan & Jordan finish the leg in eighth place.Michael gets to the pantry as Judy finishes her milking. His gets the thumbs up on his ingredients a few minutes ahead of Judy. This gives them just enough of an edge to get to Phil in ninth place.Phil tells Jody & Shannon they have been eliminated.

Team must fly there, then take a train to Hamburg and race to Jungfernsteig Street for the next clue. All teams gets to the airport in Argentina together, though everyone does not take the same route to Frankfurt. Jet & Cord and Louie & Michael are going via Paris, while Carol & Brandy and Dan & Jordan have a direct flight to Frankfurt. Joe & Heidi, Brent & Caite, Steve & Allie and Jordan & Jeff are going via Sao Paulo.Jet & Cord and Louie & Michael are first in Frankfurt to get their train tickets. Those two teams make the first train to Hamburg, while Carol & Brandy and Dan & Jordan miss it by seconds. The four teams from the third flight arrive at the station and those six teams all get the same train.Jet & Cord get to the clue in Hamburg. Up next is an Intersection, meaning each team must partner with another to complete the challenge. The cowboys call over Louie & Michael and tell them the challenge is for two contestants to make their way to Hamburg Harbor and take a 150-foot bungee jump together to get the next clue. Michael and Jet head to the subway. The other six teams get the next clue. Because they come from a "good family," Joe & Heidi decide to work with Steve and Allie instead of Carol & Brandy, who are already at the clue. Joe and Allie will work together. Dan & Jordan arrive at the clue and Dan and Brandy agree to tackle the challenge. Like the previous team, they find a local to take them on to the harbor. The last two teams arrive at the clue and pick Caite and Jordan to work together. The immediately get on a train going the wrong direction. Jet and Michael arrive at the bungee crane first and jump without incident and grab their clue. A limping Joe and Allie get the the crane next, followed closely by Dan and Brandy. Brandy watches Joe and Allie jump and starts getting nervous.Jet & Cord and Louie & Michael read the next clue. Teams must find a statue of Kaiser Wilhelm and get their next clue.Dan and Brandy jump just as Caite and Jordan get to the crane.Louie & Michael get to the statue first and read about this week's Detour: Soccer or Sauerkraut. In Soccer, teams must hit five targets from the penalty stripe to receive the next clue. In Sauerkraut, they must finish a plate of the German food during the time it takes to play a song. The detectives pick Sauerkraut and it looks like Jet & Cord took the long route to the statue. The third and fourth teams head for the statue.Louie & Michael get their plate of kraut and have zero trouble finishing in time. The get the next clue: Team must head to the Haifisch Bar and finish off a boot (large lass in the shape of a boot) full of beers. The fifth and six teams -- Carol & Brandy and Jordan & Jeff -- head for the statue. Cord & Jet get the statue second and pick Soccer. Steve & Allie and Joe & Heidi reach the statue at virtually the same time and pick Soccer as well.Louie & Michael get to the bar and begin drinking their boot. Steve & Allie and Joe & Heidi arrive at the field and start kicking balls. Jet & Cord are having trouble finding the stadium. Brent & Caite pick Socer, while and Jordan & Jeff go with Kraut.Steve & Allie finish the Soccer challenge and head for the bar. Joe & Hedi give up on soccer and go for the Saurkraut as the cowboys arrive at the stadium. The cowboys immediately hit two targets.Louie & Michae finish their beer and get the next clue: Teams must go to Beatles-Platz, a monument to the band. The then must run through the Red Light district and find the Indra Club, this week's Pit Stop.Dan & Jordan and Carol & Brandy both pick Sauerkraut. Jordan & Jeff have trouble finding the Sauerkraut restaurant when their cab plugs the wrong address into the GPS.Louie & Michael have little difficulty getting to Indra Club. Phil rewards them with $5,000 gift cards.Steve & Allie get to the bar and Steve couldn't be happier about drinking beer. The cowboys finish the Soccer challenge. Steve finishes off the beer and they are the second team to head for the Pit Stop. Joe & Heidi get their plate of Kraut and finish it on the first try. Jordan & Jeff still don't seem to be going the right direction.Carol & Brandy get their plate of Kraut and begin to eat. Dan & Jordan get to the soccer field. Carol & Brandy finish their Kraut on their first try. Dan & Jordan finish the Soccer challenge. Joe & Heidi get to the bar at the same time as Jet & Cord and both teams start drinking their beer.Steve & Allie are the second team to get to Phil.Joe & Heidi finish the beer much quicker that the cowboys, at least one of whom claims to have never drank a beer in his life. Jordan & Jeff get their plate of Kraut. Brent & Caite get to the soccer stadium. Jordan & Jeff don't finish even half their plate of food and decide to move to soccer.Caite injures her leg while kicking the soccer ball. She refuses to quit. Carol & Brandy get the bar and start drinking their boot.Joe & Heidi are the third team to arrive at Phil at the Indra Club. The cowboys finish their beer and Jet looks hammered. Carol & Brandy are just a few minutes behind them.Brent & Caite finish the Soccer challenge. Dan & Jordan begin working on their boot.Jet & Cord get to Phil in fourth place. Caite starts shedding tears of joy.Jordan & Jeff arrive a few minutes later and are told they are in last place. Phil tells them this week is not an elimination leg and they are still alive, though they will have a Speed Bump next week.

Previously on...: Seven teams raced through Champagne, France, and the detectives earned their third consecutive win, and Jordan and Jeff finished last despite Brent and Caite's struggles on the detour.Six teams remain: "Who will be eliminated next?"The Seychelles: Louie and Michael were the first team to leave, but all the teams would end up on the same flight because of the islands' remote location. The cops were feeling good after three straights wins, joking about how they're listening to each other and getting along just great. Dan and Jordan were the first team to notice something about checking in a kiosk to get a spot in a certain order. Most teams plotted to get a spot toward the front of the plane so they could get off quickly. Carol and Brandy got a spot in the back without questioning it much. After landing, teams ran to a kiosk to get a number. The first three teams were taken by helicopter to the island of La Digue. The remaining three teams would get their flight an hour later.Brent and Caite, Steve and Allie, and Dan and Jordan got on the first set of flights. The other three teams were annoyed at having to wait. Despite having to wait, Brandy said "the three strongest teams" were the ones in the bottom half.Detour: Nearly 1,000 miles from the nearest continent, Phil said La Digue island was about as remote and laid-back as possible. The two tasks were "Turtle Toddle" and "Ox Trot."In "Turtle Toddle," teams had to lure 100-year-old, 500-pound tortoise across a lawn, then carry a bunch of bananas to a merchant a mile and a half away. In Ox Trot, teams had to load a cart with coconuts without losing any cargo then they had to lead an ox pulling the cart to the merchant.Brent and Caite did the Ox Trot, while Steve and Allie took on the turtles. Dan and Jordan went with the ox.The final three teams finally boarded their helicopters, with Cord saying he wasn't going to give up "until Phil tells us to leave."Brent and Caite lost a coconut, which we saw in super-slow motion, as they loaded their cart. They didn't seem to notice. Meanwhile, Allie was leading her turtle successfully. As Brent and Caite left with their ox pulling their cart, we zoomed in twice more on the fallen coconut -- our familiar "Amazing Race" notice that something crucial has gone unnoticed by the team.Steve and Allie's tortoise crossed the finish line with ease, but as they grabbed their bunches of bananas to head to the fruit merchant, they left their backpacks behind. Dan and Jordan loaded up their coconuts.Allie struggled carrying her bunch of bananas, smearing herself with banana as she moved the bunch into different positions. But they walked right past Brent and Caite, who were struggling to get their ox to move. Dan and Jordan were careful to pick up stray coconuts before leaving. They hooked an ox up to their cart and noticed there was (expletive) coming out of its (expletive). They said it was "(expletive) gross."No (expletive).Their ox walked off quickly. They named it "Box," in honor of their father's delivery company.Louie and Michael decided to do the ox challenge, while Brandy and Carol went with the tortoise. Jet and Cord went with the ox trot.Steve and Allie got their next clue, which instructed them to swim to a boat that would take them to St. Pierre Island. They still didn't have their backpacks.Dan and Jordan's ox literally jogged past Brent and Caite's ox, as Brent and Caite continued to get more frustrated with their slow ox. When they arrive, the fruit merchant said they didn't bring enough coconuts -- and we got another reply of the sole coconut laying on the grass where they loaded the cart. Brent and Caite argued with the fruit merchant, but he wasn't buying it. Brent said he was going to quit.Steve and Allie noticed Dan and Jordan at the boat docks with their backpacks and realized they'd forgotten their own bags at the tortoise challenge. Steve said they had their money and passports with them, but Allie didn't want to leave their backpacks behind.Brent, meanwhile, was fed up with the coconut situation and said he quit. Steve convinced Allie she didn't need the clothes and makeup in her backpack, so they forged ahead.Brent and Caite sulked as they got back on their carts and drove their ox back to the loading area. Meanwhile, Louie and Michael were loaded up and taking off. Brandy and Carol were still trying to coax their tortoise across the course.Roadblock: Steve and Allie arrived at the next challenge, heading underwater to untie a bunch of seven bottles and bring one of them to the surface. Inside the bottle were pieces to a puzzle that created a map to the pit stop.Back at the detour, Brandy and Carol gave up on their turtle and headed to the ox trot.Steve wrapped up the roadblock quickly and headed back to the dock, while Dan and Jordan headed out to the roadblock and Jordan had trouble with the bottle, but grabbed it after a couple of tries.Back at the ox trot, Louie and Michael were heading toward the fruit merchant when they crossed with Brent and Caite, who were heading back the other direction to get their missing coconut. "This is so unfair," Caite whined, apparently thinking the rules shouldn't apply to all the teams. Brandy and Carol arrived at the ox trot while Jet and Cord were just taking off. They were confident they hadn't dropped any coconuts, but our super-zooming cameraman told us different.Brandy and Carol were convinced they were in last place, but Jet and Cord's missing coconut possibly told a different story.Steve and Allie swam to shore and put their map puzzle together, finding their way to Phil before any other team. They arrived without their backpacks, but vowed to move on without them. They won a bunch of stuff from 7-Up. Dan and Jordan showed up a few moments later.Louie and Michael arrived at the fruit merchant with their coconuts and received their next clue without incident. Jet and Cord passed by Brent and Caite as they headed to the merchant's dock, but we knew they left one coconut behind.Brandy and Carol loaded their cart and were careful to look on the sides of the cart for any strays. Where they didn't look was under the cart, and that's where our helpful cameraman zoomed in on one.Jet and Cord arrived and were told they didn't have all their coconuts. They kept their composure and got back on their carts to find the missing one.About the same time, Brandy and Carol were leaving the coconut loading area, still hopeful that "somebody has to make a mistake somewhere." Then we caught a glimpse of the coconut they left behind.Louie and Michael and Brent and Caite were on their boats heading for St. Pierre Island.Jet and Cord saw Carol and Brandy heading the opposite direction and figured they were now in last place. Carol and Brandy thought the cowboys' mistake would bode well for them. Carol and Brandy arrived at the fruit merchant, who told them they didn't load all the coconuts. "Are you kidding?!" they asked, as they realized they had to go back to where they'd started.Carol and Brandy bickered about their mistake, with Carol blaming Brandy for having thrown one over the cart.Brent and Caite arrived at the roadblock and Brent quickly scooped up a bottle. Michael jumped in and grabbed a bottle. Louie struggled with the swim to shoreJet and Cord crossed paths with Brandy and Carol and realized they were no longer in last place. Cord headed into the water and grabbed a bottle. Cord appeared to offer the bottle to the boat operator.Brent and Caite decided to help Louie and Michael to the pit stop, so they worked together and checked in nearly at the same time. At the pit stop, all four players told Phil they'd like to see Carol and Brandy out of the race because they were bad, negative people. Brent said it seemed like "it's pretty anonymous" that most of the teams don't like Carol and Brandy. He meant "unanimous."Jet and Cord swam to shore without their bottle. They left it on the boat. They jogged to the pit stop, where Phil gave them some bad news. They had to go back to the boat and get the bottle and remove its contents before he could check them in.They ran to the shore and saw their boat a good 300 yards from the beach. They started swimming. They saw Brandy and Carol's boat as they swam, but decided not to give up.Brandy and Carol got to shore and put their puzzle together. They seemed to have a little trouble finding the pit stop while Jet and Cord tried to make it back to the pit stop first. In the end, Brandy and Carol arrived first, in fifth place.Jet and Cord were the last team to arrive."I'm sorry to tell you that..." Phil said, before finishing, "the next leg is going to be very tough."This was a non-elimination leg and they were still in it. In the next leg, they will have to perform an extra task."Champions aren't necessarily the people who ride the most bulls," Jet said. "They're the people that can get bucked off and still pick themselves back up and go get on another one. That's just what we do. So, when you hit bottom, there's only one place to go, and that's up.""You should write a country song," Cord told him.

AT this point a huge gust of wind picks up and starts blowing Brent and Cord's cards across the stadium. They are forces to chase them down and try to weigh their cards down with articles of clothing and chairs.Cord is the first to complete his design and start handing out cards to the people in the stands. Teams are headed to Logan Airport. Two planes will take them to London, with the first flight arriving a half hour earlier and only seating three teams.Teams jump in cars and try to find the airport. Immediately Connor & Jonathan are incredibly lost. Ron & Tony are first to arrive at the airport, followed closely by Chad & Stephanie. Teams start arriving at the airport in rapid succession. Ron & Terry get their tickets first, followed by Jill & Thomas. Chad & Stephanie seem confused as to where to go and are only just able to edge Katie & Rachel for the final seats on the first flight. In London the first three teams grab cars and are directed to a highway and told to find Stonehenge seem to be struggling with navigation. The rest of the teams begin arriving in London. We learn that Nat is a Type 1 diabetic. Stonehenge employees are able to help direct the teams towards Eastnor. Brook & Claire ends up linking with Nat & Kat. Ron & Tony seem to have no clue where they should go.Jill & Thomas get to the castle first and read about the first challenge. The clue tells them to search the ground for this leg's Pit Stop. Jill & Thomas reach Phil first and win the race and the Express Pass.Kat knocks down her suit of armor as Katie & Rachel get to the Roadblock. Nat & Kat reach Phil in second place. Claire accidentally drills herself in the face with one of the melons. She seems in pain but not seriously injured. Claire ends up hitting the suit one her second try after being hit. Gary & Mallory have no trouble with the boat and breeze past Michal & Kevin.Andie & Jenna get to the castle. Nick & Vicki ask yet another person for directions and Ron & Tony appear to have no idea where they are. Chad & Stephanie have no idea where to find Phil and the Pit Stop. Michael & Kevin copy Gary & Mallory's strategy and get across the moat.Nick & Vicki finally reach Eastnor castle but at the top of the wall can't seem to figure out the flag they need to grab is right next to them. Ron & Tony finally pull into to the castle. Kevin and Gary get to work firing melons. Chad & Stephanie are still lost on the castle grounds. Nick & Vicki have another rough moment as they fail to recognize the boasts sitting right on the edge of the shore.Gary and Kevin defeat their knights almost simultaneously. A few moments later Chad & Stephanie finally arrive in eighth.Nick & Vicki make their way across the moat as Ron & Tony arrive at the boats. In Beds team have to use traditional supplies and build a "tent-like dwelling" used by the Nomads. We open with Nat & Kat the first to learn that this week teams will travel 1,200 miles to St. Petersburg, Russia via taxi, train and plane. There they must find Zayachy Island and their next clue. This week doesn't provide an advantage from last week, so every team arrives in Russia at virtually the same time.By virtue of a super cab driver, Brook & Claire are first to get the first clue and read about the Detour: Classical Music or Classic Cinema. In Music they must listen to three compositions played on gramophones, then walk through several rooms of pianists and find the three playing those pieces. In Cinema teams go to a sound stage and search piles of film clips for something that matches the film on screen, Eisenstein's "October."Brook & Claire pick Cinema as do Micahel & Kevin. Chad & Stephanie and Gary & Mallory pick Music. Jilly & Thomas pick Cinema, Nick & Vicki take Cinema and Nat & Kat take Music.Michael & Kevin beat Brook & Claire to the studio. Jill & Thomas arrive second. Both teams think the challenge looks harder than they expeted.Chad & Stephanie listen to the compositions, then see how many pianos there are. The next two teams to begin Music find the Detour just as tough. The Cinema teams take several unsuccessful stabs before Jill & Thomas get it right and are given the next clue. Teams must race to Palace Square and find their next clue.Brook & Claire finally find the Detour location.Chad & Stephanie are the first team to guess at Music but are incorrect. Gary & Mallory also guess wrong. Nick & Vicki also make a few wrong guesses.Brook & Claire find the film clip and head for the square. Michael & Kevin aren't too far behind.First place Jill & Thomas get to Palace Square and read that teams must take taxis to a store in Alexandrovskaya.Gary & Mallory decide to bail on the 'Music' Detour. Nick & Viki and Nat & Kat make the same choice. Chad & Stephanie are the only team left listening to music.Brook & Claire and Michael & Kevin get their next clue.Brook & Claire beat the very lost Jill & Thomas to the store and read about this week's Road Block: A team member must dress like a traditional Russian babushka and plant a row of 50 potatoes, then fertilize the crops with manure. Brook volunteers for their team and gets started.Michael & Kevin get there a few minutes later and Kevin is chosen. With Brook struggling to find her potatoes Kevin takes a small lead.Chad & Stephanie come close to deciding they should leave Music, but then go back and give it a few more tries. Mostly because of Stephanie they get the songs right and move into fourth.Nat & Kat finish the Cinema Detour.Jill is picked for the Road Block. Brook finally reaches the planting area where Kevin has been working for some time.Gary & Mallory find the film clip. This leaves Nick & Vicki as the only team still working on the Detour. Nick & Vicki decide they should go back to the Music challenge.Kevin finishes the Road Block. Michael & Kevin get the next clue, directing them to the Pit Stop which is at St. Isaac's Cathedral. Brook & Claire are a few minutes behind, with Jill & Thomas a few minutes behind them.Nat and Stephanie are picked for the Road Block.Nick & Vicki plug away at the Music Detour and finally get it right.Michael & Kevin reach the cathedral first, but don't realize Phil is in a park across the street. Therefore, Jill & Thomas finish the leg in first place and are awarded a trip to Brazil. With Michael & Kevin still wandering around the cathedral, Brook & Claire finish in second. Michael & Kevin eventually finish third.Mallory starts the Road Block and tries to join-up with the struggling Nat, who passes. Once they part ways Nat finds the wheelbarrow storage area while Mallory wanders around in frustration.Nat finishes the Road Block. Stephanie loads up her manure and is a only a few minutes ahead of Mallory who finally locates the wheelbarrows.Stephanie finishes the Road Block and head for Phil. Mallory finishes a few moments later and she and Gary are in sixth.Nat & Kat get to Phil in fourth.Nick & Vicki reach the Road Block and Nick volunteers, not realizing what he was getting into. Like Mallory he is having trouble finding the wheelbarrows.Chad & Stephanie and Gary & Mallory both reach the cathedral at about the same time. Chad & Stephanie spot the Pit Stop first and get to Phil in fifth. Gary & Mallory are obviously the sixth team to arrive.Nick finally finishes the Road Block. In the taxi Nick & Vicki talk about being proud of how they ran the race. They get to Phil in seventh, but he tells them this is a non-elimination leg and they are still alive.

They are late because of Vicki's asthma and Nick isn't very understanding.Jill & Thomas and Nat & Kat get to the clue simultaneously and learn the team must travel to another region of Hong Kong and search out the Majesty restaurant. Brook & Claire are a few steps behind, primarily because Claire is struggling with her fitness. On the second ferry Nick isn't able to let the fact they are behind go.The first three teams get into cabs and head for the Majesty. Nick & Vicki get to the cab and get their clue.Nat & Kat are first to the Majesty and read about this week's Roadblock: One teams members must search a large buffet with chopsticks, trying to locate one of several pieces of realistic-looking fake food. Any read food picked up must be eaten. Once they find the fake item they can move on.Nat is picked for the Roadblock.Jill & Thomas are a few minutes behind and Thomas is selected.Brook & Claire arrive third to the Majesty and Claire is picked.Nat is the first to find a fake piece of food. The next clue sends them to the Avenue of the Stars, where teams must figure out they are searching for a statue of Bruce Lee.Nick & Vicki are still on the return ferry trip.Nat & Kat get to the statue first and read about this week's Detour, Ding-Ding or Sampan: In Ding-Ding teams must ride an old bus route, searching for three store signs that reveal the location of this week's Pit Stop. If they do not spots the signs by ride's end they must start over. In Sampan team take a bird cage and board one of the ancient water vessels. In the harbor they must spot a boat with a registrations number matching that of their bird cage. They can trade their birds for the location of the Pit Stop. Vicki is picked for the Roadblock. At this point Claire has eaten quite a bit of food.Jill & Thomas get on the bus and start looking for their signs. Almost immediately they miss the three signs.Claire gets nauseous and runs to the bathroom to vomit. Brook follows her in and gives her a pep-talk. Almost immediately Claire finds a fake piece of sushi and they can leave. Both Nat & Kat and Jill & Thomas are having no luck. Jill & Thomas decide to switch to the other Detour.Vicki is having stomach issues of her own.Jill & Thomas get on their sampan.Brook & Claire also pick sampan.Jill quickly locates the matching registration and they are the first team to get their final clue. Teams must head to the center of Hong Kong and locate Statue Square.Nat & Kat find their registration number and head back to the dock just behind Jill & Thomas. Nat & Kat are able to get a cab before Jill & Thomas.Brook & Claire get their bird and get on the sampan.Vicki is still struggling at the buffet.Nat & Kat are the first team to reach Phil. They win the leg and are awarded a trip to Rio.Jill & Thomas are just behind the doctors and finish second. With Brook & Claire still hunting on the boat, we see Vicki head to the bathroom and puke. Nick thinks it isn't worth it and they consider just taking a penalty. Vicki says she doesn't want to take what would be a four-hour penalty and she heads back to the buffet. After one more bite she finds a fake item and they leave for the statue.Brook & Claire still haven't found their registration number.Nick & Vicki pick Sampan. They arrive at the dock and get their birds.Claire spots their boat and they exchange their birds.Nick appears to have checked-out mentally. After more time he lies down on the boat and lets Vicki search by herself.Brook & Claire reach Phil in third place.Eventually Nick asks the driver to take them back. It means a six-hour penalty. They get to Phil, who tells them this week is a non-elimination race. Next week they will have both a Speed Bump and a penalty.

Open with Jet & Cord still working on the password they need to give to the captain to get their boat.Kent & Vyxsin, currently in tenth place, get the clue telling them to make their way to Sydney. All the teams are headed that way, needing to figure out they need to find the "To Sail To Stop" anchor sculpture at Sydney Town Hall. The first six teams to get to the sculpture get seats on the first charter to Broken Hill, a mining community about 700 miles away. The next five teams will leave a half hour later. We are reminded that Amanda & Kris have essentially U-Turned themselves and will have to perform both halves of the Detour. Zev & Justin think they could fly below the radar. The teams head for the ferry back to Sydney. We flashback to Ron bringing daughter Christina to tears last week.Last place Jet & Cord finally figure out the password and head to their sailboat.Kisha & Jen jump behind the desk at a museum and Google "To Sail To Stop." While they're doing that Zev & Justin show up. The two teams head to town hall, which is walking distance from their location.Mel is having trouble with the heavy walking this leg. He sits down on the ferry to Sidney and Mike is scared for his father's health. Mel takes full responsibility and they press on.Margie & Luke find someone on their ferry with a computer who looks up the phrase for them.Kisha & Jen and Zev & Justin are the first two to find the statue and sign up for the first charter.Sever of the other teams -- Flight Time & Big Easy, Kent & Vyxsin -- search desperately for help finding the statue.Last place Jet & Cord finish their sailing challenge.Margie & Luke are the fourth team to get on the first charter, just moments behind Jaime & Cara.Totally lost, Amanda & Kris run into Gary & Mallory and decide to follow them.Mel & Mike find their way to the town and snag the fifth seat on the plane. Kent & Vyxsin get there soon after and nab the final spot.Jet & Cord get to last week's Pit Stop and Phil tells them the leg isn't over.Flight Time & Big Easy are seventh to the statue, just missing the early flight. Ron & Christina, Amanda & Kris and Gary & Mallory are next to the check-in, meaning only Jet & Cord haven't signed up for a charter. The cowboys search the streets that night but can't find anyone to figure out the "To Sail To Stop" line. Finally a taxi driver takes them where they need to go.The first six teams board their flight and take off 30 minutes before the next five teams. The first group finds cars waiting for them at the airport. On the windshield is a clue instructing them to find The Living Desert, a "vast bare landscape" in the outback. The second flight lands before any of the first six teams have found the next stop.Zev & Justin get to The Living Desert first and read about this leg's Detour: Spirit World and Natural World. In Spirit, they must use natural elements to create an aboriginal ground mosaic and then perform a dance on top of said mosaic. In Natural, teams create a natural paint and spit it on top of several stencils to create four images. All eleven teams select Spirit world and all are working on their mosaic before any one team has completed the Detour.Teams gradually begin to complete their mosaic but a few of the teams are confused as to what to do next. Zev & Justin are the first team to complete the Detour and get the next clue. Teams must find the "Home of the Magpies," which is the Central Football Club.Margie & Luke are the second team to finish the Detour, followed by Mel & Mike. Kent & Vyxsin finally figure out they are supposed to dance on their sculpture and are the fourth team to finish the Detour. Kisha & Jen finish just after them.Jaime & Cara complete the Detour in sixth. The first man Zev & Justin ask about the "Home of the Magpies" knows exactly where they need to go. It is only a few blocks away.Jet & Cord finish the Detour in seventh, followed by Gary & Mallory and Flight Time & Big Easy. Amanda & Kris finish in tenth and head to the other half of the Detour. Ron & Christina are still struggling with the Detour, the only team left.Amanda & Kris start the Natural challenge as Ron & Christina finally finish their mosaic. Ron & Christina are the eleventh team to finish and have to clean up Ron's stuff before they head out. That delay allows Amanda & Kris to move ahead of them into tenth.Zev & Justin get to the next clue first. The challenge asks if the team is ready for a "Roo'd Awakening." The team must dress as kangaroos and run around an Australian mining town with the Periodic Table of Elements looking for their destination. Streets in the town are named after elements and only two of the elements meet at an intersection. Teams must find that intersection.Margie & Luke are the second team to the athletic club, followed by Kent & Vyxsin in third. Mel & Mike arrive in fourth, just after the other three teams start out in their costumes.Jaime & Cara start the challenge fifth, followed by Jet & Cord and Flight Time & Big Easy. The first three teams find a resident with a smart phone and have her look up the two elements. She points them to the intersection. Kisha & Jen get to the athletic club in eighth.Gary & Mallory are the ninth team to arrive at the athletic club.Kent knows his chemistry and guides his team and Jaime & Cara to the proper intersection.Ron & Christina get to the challenge just ahead of Amanda & Kris.Margie drops a piece of her costume and they have to go back and retrieve it.Zev & Justin get to the next clue first. Teams must drive themselves to the next Pit Stop, a former silver mine called Junction Mine. They change shoes, jump in the car and quickly get directions from two locals.Zev & Justin are the first to finish the leg and Phil tells them they have won a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico.Flight Time & Big Easy are second to the clue box, just ahead of Kisha & Jen. Soon after Margie & Luke, Mel & Mike, Kent & Vyxsin and Jaime & Cara get the Pit Stop clue.Flight Time & Big Easy finish the leg second.Gary & Mallory and Ron & Christina are still looking for the intersection, with Ron doing his best to hold up his own team with inane questions.Jet & Cord out-sprint Kisha & Jen to Phil for the third and fourth spots this week.Amanda & Kris get help from a local while Gary & Mallory and Ron & Christina wander aimlessly.Gary & Mallory and Ron & Christina finally locate the clue box. Amanda & Kris are still looking for the intersection.Margie & Luke finish the leg fifth and Mel & Mike are sixth. Mike tells us how proud he is of his dad.Ron & Christina don't seem to know where they are going.Kent & Vyxsin get to Phil in seventh, just ahead of Jaime & Cara.Gary & Mallory (who Ron earlier decided they shouldn't follow) reach Phil in ninth place, while we see Christina stop to ask for directions. Ron & Christina do end up getting to Phil (who Ron calls "Bill") in tenth and avoid elimination.Amanda & Kris get to Phil in eleventh and Kris blames their U-turn mistake in the premiere for their early demise this season.
3We Had a Lot of Evil Spirits Apparently (Japan)
06 Mar 2011Description ▼
Open with last week's winner Zev & Justin learning teams this week will be flying to Tokyo, Japan and find their next clue at a modern-looking parking garage. As the teams begin looking for plane tickets in Sydney it becomes clear everybody has two options: Fly directly to Tokyo on Qantas and arrive at 6:15am, or go with a Cathay Pacific connection through Hong Kong that arrives 15 minutes earlier. The Cathay Pacific has a three hour window for the connection but several teams seem very wary of risking a second flight.Zev & Justin and Flight Time & Big Easy both decide to take the Cathay Pacific flight, but find out there are only two seats left. The Globetrotters owe them one so they give up the last two seats. After going back and forth about the best option Mel & Mike and Margie & Luke take the Cathay Pacific flight as well. Ultimately half the teams go with the connecting option: Zev & Justin, Mel & Mike, Margie & Luke, Kent & Vyxsin and Jaime & Cara.Right on cue the Cathay Pacific flight has engine trouble and the first flight group ends up being delayed 80 minutes. The Qantas flight learns they will be the first flight landing in Tokyo. They get on the ground and sprint to the parking garage. Teams must drive themselves to the Yabusame Dojo in Kamakura and find their next clue. The first five teams haggle over getting cars from the parking attendant and head on the road. The second five teams arrive in Tokyo and get their cars.Several teams have difficulty navigating the streets of Tokyo, Jet & Cord foremost among them.First to arrive at the dojo are Ron & Christina. They read about this week's Roadblock. One team member dresses as a samurai and learns the proper Yabusame Ritual. Basically they learn form and ritual related to shooting an arrow from atop a slowing spinning wooden horse. Once they hit a target with an arrow they'll get the next clue. Inexplicably Ron is chosen.Gary & Mallory arrive next and pick Gary to handle the challenge. Ron instantly begins screwing up the simplest aspects of the Roadblock. Flight Time & Big Easy get to the dojo next and Flight Time is picked. Kisha & Jen are next to arrive and select Jen.Jet & Cord still have no idea where they're going. Neither do four of the teams from the second flight, who are traveling through downtown Tokyo in a four-car caravan.Zev & Justin get to the dojo and pick Justin. They'e surprised to have made up so much ground after the airplane delay.Mike & Mel and Margie & Luke decide to part ways with Kent & Vyxsin and Jaime & Cara and look for the dojo on their own.The first person to finish the Roadblock is Jen. She and Kisha read the next clue, which tells teams to search for the Kintaro Statue in at a nearby railway station.Justin finished the Roadblock second, followed by Gary. Ron still looks like he has no idea what is going on.Mel, Kent and Luke's teams are the next to get to the dojo and they are picked to tackle the Roadblock.Flight Time finishes the Roadblock just before Jet & Cord arrive and pick Jet.Ron finally completes the Roadblock.Already in last place, Jaime & Cara clip the side view mirror of another car and have to wait for the police to arrive.Kent, Luke and Mike struggle with the Roadblock.Zev & Justin and Gary & Mallory get to the railway station together and read about this week's Detour. Teams pick between two rituals, Prayer of Purity or Frog of Luck. In Purity they take part in a cleansing ritual capped by spending a fully minute underneath a 45 degree water fall. In Luck they strip down to a loincloth and have to dig around in a mud for toy frogs while locals pelt them with clumps of dirt. Both of the first two teams pick Luck. The Globetrotters and Ron & Christina are next to the station and both select Purity. A few minutes later Kisha & Jen arrive and also select Luck.Jamie & Cara arrive at the dojo and are pleasantly surprised to see several teams still working on the Roadblock. Luke finishes the challenge, followed soon by Cord, Kent and Mike. Quickly Jamie is the only one left attempting the Roadblock. The first two teams get their Detour outfits on and start diving for frogs.Ron & Christina and Flight Time & Big Easy work through the first few steps of the Purity Detour will little trouble.Margie & Luck and Jet & Cord pick the Luck Detour.Justin finds the frog and they are firmly in first place. The clue tells them to drive to the Pit Stop, located at a monument to Commodore Perry located in Kurihama. Gary find a frog and they get cleaned up.Kish & Jen get to the Detour site, not thrilled about their bikini-like outfits.Kent & Vyxsin and Mel & Mike are the eighth and ninth teams to arrive at the railway station. Both pick the Luck Detour.Jaime completes the Roadblock. The Globetrotters finish the Detour just ahead of Ron & Christina. Christina is unable to locate the fanny pack she's been using to store valuables. It appears that the Globetrotters grabbed it by accident on their way up to the changing area, but instead of bringing it back down after realizing their mistake simply left it in the men's area. While Christina wastes time searches the area for the pack the Globetrotters get in their car and leave.Kisha finds a frog.Ron locates the fanny pack up in the changing area. They are both upset the Globetrotters didn't bring it back down.As the temperature drops, Jet & Cord waste no time locating a frog. Several more teams arrive at the Luck Detour site.Jaime & Cara select the Luck Detour.Zev & Justin get to Phil in first place and are awarded a trip to Costa Rica.Vyxsin locates a frog as the sun goes down.Several teams talk about how cold it is in the mud, with Mel seeming to struggle. Margie finds a frog.Gary & Mallory finish the leg in second place, just ahead of Flight Time & Big Easy.On their way to the Detour site Jaime & Cara discuss how they've never been so close to the bottom.Mike is worried about Mel, who doesn't want to quit.Ron & Christina are the fourth team to get to Phil. After she tells him about Fannygate, Phil gives Flight Time & Big Easy a 30-minute penalty, moving Ron & Christina into third. With that penalty Kish & Jen are the team with the fourth-best time.Jet & Cord finish in sixth, as Mike decides to take his father to the car to warm up.Jaime & Cara start the Detour.Kent & Vyxsin finish seventh, just ahead of Margie & Luke.Jamie & Cara rather quickly find a frog. But with Mel & Mike off warming up they are convinced they have lost. Phil surprised them with word they are ninth and still in the race. This means Mel & Mike finish last, and are eliminated.

Open with teams instructed to travel 2,700 miles to Lijiang, China and search for their next clue at the Jade Dragon Mountain.Zev & Justin talk about how Zev has had a lot of easy legs so far. Kishs & Jen, the fourth team to depart, recall a rough history in China. Kent & Vyxsin talk about keeping things positive and immediately start fighting about the car and directions. They get incredibly lost in Japan and with three hours left before the flight leaves they are the only team not at the airport. Navigator Vyxsin blames herself and is so pessimistic she waves "bye-bye" to the camera. 50 minutes before the flight is to leave they are still not at the airport. As the "required" flight takes off for China, Kent & Vyxsin are just seeing signs for the airport. They take off on a different flight almost five hours after the other eight teams. The first eight teams arrive at Kunming Airport and have the ability to decide whether to take a plan or train to Lijiang. Ron & Christina get tickets for the first of two trains, while the other teams get onto the second train.Kent & Vyxsin arrive in Kunming about three hours after the second train has departed. They will not be able to leave for Lijiang until the next morning.Ron & Christina arrive at the marked shuttle first only to learn it doesn't leave until 8am.Kent & Vyxsin get on a plan which departs at 7am. The other eight teams all leave on the same marked shuttle at 8am.With Kent & Vyxsin still on the way, the first eight team arrive at the mountain and spot water and yaks from the shuttle. Teams sprint to the clue box and learn they all must saddle and ride yaks across a precarious section of the river to receive their next clue.Teams next have to ride a gondola up the mountain and find their next clue at Spruce Meadow. All the teams are noticing the altitude as they run.All the teams (besides Kent & Vyxsin, of course) reach the clue together and learn about this week's Roadblock: One team member must search through tens of thousands of hanging charms for the 12 Chinese zodiac animals. They then must hang in the correct order in order to receive their next clue. Luke is selected, as is Cord, Cara, Mallory, Big Easy, Jen, Zev and Christina. With the teams knee-deep in the Roadblock, Kent & Vyxsin arrive at the yak river crossing.Luke gets to the end first, followed closely by Mallory and Christina. But Luke's charm order is incorrect and Mallory ends up winning the Roadblock. She and her father read that teams must locate marked buses and travel to Old Town Lijiang for their next clue.Christina finishes the Roadblock second, just ahead of Luke and Cord. With Zev still wandering around looking a little confused, Big Easy and Cara finish. Jen completes her puzzle, leaving only Zev still looking for charms.Kent & Vyxsin get on the gondola as Justin grows more frustrated with Zev. Zev finally finds his twelfth charm but doesn't realize he needs to hang them in order.Teams get on the marked buses and leave the mountain. Ron & Christina appear to get on non-marked vehicle.Zev still doesn't understand he needs to hang the charms in order and Kent & Vyxsin arrive at the Roadblock, picking Vyxsin for the challenge. Kent lies to Justin about why they were late (he says they had car trouble) and Justin clearly realizes that Kent & Vyxsin may still be facing a time penalty for missing the flight.Ron & Christina figure out their mistake and the Globetrotters stop their bus so they can get on.Zev still doesn't have his charms in order.Gary & Mallory and Margie & Luke are first to Old Town Lijiang and read the next clue. Each team member must locate their zodiac symbol, write a wish on a piece of paper and deposit it in the correct slot to get the next clue. They must verbally announce their sign as they place the wish in the slot. Those first teams figure out the zodiac wish challenge quickly and read about this week's Detour: Teams pick either Hammer or Horn. In Hammer tams must use hammers to pulverize hot candy using an ancient technique. In Horn they take a large ceremonial horn and lead a procession of dancers across town. Both of the first two teams pick Hammer.Ron & Christina get to the Detour clue in third and pick Hammer. Fourth place Jet & Cord also go with Hammer. Flight Time and Big Easy get to the zodiac wish challenge fifth, but Flight Time has no clue what his zodiac sign is. As he goes through all the signs Jaime & Cara and Kisha & Jen show up. Kisha & Jen pick Hammer and Jaime & Cara are the first team to pick Horn.Zev eventually realizes the problem was that he had two of the same symbol. He completes the Roadblock while Vyxsin searches for her final few charms. She is starting to panic.Flight Time & Big Easy finally figure out their zodiac signs and pick Horn. The first five teams work on the Hammer challenge. Jaime & Cara realize the horn is too cumbersome and decide to change to Hammer.Vyxsin is now crying and questioning her intelligence.Margie & Luke finish the Detour first and learn the Pit Stop is at the top of a hill in Old Town at a place called Eternal Tower. Jet & Cord and Gary & Mallory are right behind them, with Kisha & Jen a few minutes behind them in fourth.Despite of Ron being Ron, Ron & Christina finish the Detour in fifth place.Flight Time & Big Easy work on the Horn challenge as Jaime & Cara get to the Hammer challenge.Zev & Justin pick Horn and we see Vyxsin finally complete the Roadblock.Margie & Luke are first to reach the Pit Stop and Phil awards them a trip to Aruba. But they are not thrilled when Phil tells them they are still racing and hands them another clue. The next group of teams reaches Phil in this order: Jet & Cord, Gary & Mallory, Ron & Christina Kisha & Jen, Flight Time & Big Easy and Jaime & Cara. With Zev & Justin still working on the Horn Detour, we see that Kent & Vyxsin left their fanny pack on their gondola and didn't realize the fact until they had been on their marked bus for some time. As Vyxsin tries to explain to the bus driver that he needs to turn around we get a "To Be Contued" banner and the episode ends.

They learn that this week will also feature a double U-Turn.Kent & Vyxsin find their fanny pack.At the train station the tams learn that the lone train to Kunming doesn't leave until 7pm, which means everybody will be starting at the same time. That group includes Kent & Vyxsin, who finish their Detour and are stunned when Phil tells them they are still racing. But he tells them missing their flight last week means they have incurred a 30-minute penalty to be enforced at the end of this leg. Vyxsin lies and said they haven't been told. All nine teams arrive in Kunming early the next morning. When they arrive at the flower market they get clues sending them to a memorial archway. Jet & Cord finish soon after as Kent & Vyxsin lag behind. The first three teams -- Ron & Christina, Zev & Justin and Kisha & Jen -- realize they've been to the wrong place. This allows Margie & Luke to get to the next clue box in first place. They learn that teams must now head outside of Kunming and find their next clue at the Stone Forest. Margie & Luke elect not to U-Turn anyone.Kent & Vyxin finish the Detour in seventh. Gary & Mallory finish Past in eighth. The two teams simultaneously read about this week's Detour: Feed the Fire or Feed the Buffalo. In Fire teams travel along the Ganges to a local milkman. There they make 50 fuel patties out of manure, load a stove with pre-made patties and get a fire started. In Buffalo teams cross the Ganges and get a bale of hay. The first two teams both select Buffalo.Kisha & Jen find the clue box and pick Fire.Zev & Justin and Flight Time & Big Easy get their bales.Cord passes Ron and finishes the Roadblock in sixth place. Ron continues to have no idea what is going on. After wasting time down by the rivers he gets his second clue.Kish & Jen get to their Detour stop and start making patties.Kent & Vyxsin pick Fire, as do Gary & Mallory.Ron finally finishes the Roadblock and they head for the next clue.Kisha & Jen bicker over the size of their fuel patties.Zev & Justin finish the Detour first. Open with teams learning they are next headed to Vienna, Austria where they will get their next clue in a car. Teams go immediately to local travel agencies.Flight Time & Big Easy and Zev & Justin get a connecting flight that arrives at 5:35am the next morning. Kisha & Jen are on the same flight, as are Gary & Mallory. Jet & Cord take a direct flight in order to avoid the possibility of a delay, but will arrive at 6am. Kent & Vyxsin bicker while booking the connector set to arrive in Austria at 5:35.The first five teams arrive on time in Vienna and sprint to the cars. In the car a video of Phil tells them that the winners of this leg will receive two new cars. Teams are instructed to put the car into reverse and use their reverse camera to find the next clue. Written on the ground behind them are the words "Schloss Schallaburg," which is the name of a castle where they will find their next clue. Gary & Mallory seem to be struggling to find the words and lose time before they finally figure it out.Jet & Cord arrive at their car in last place.Zev & Justin, Kent & Vyxsin and Kisha & Jen all get directions to the castle at a gas station. The Globetrotters and Gary & Mallory also get directions from locals. Jet & Cord do the same.Zev & Justin are first to reach the castle. Kent & Vyxsin are in second, close to Kisha & Jen, with the Gloebtrotters and Gary & Mallory in fourth and fifth.Jet & Cord reach the castle, still in last.Zev & Justin reach the library first and read about this week's Detour: Long Hard Walk or Quick and Easy Meal. After a few minutes other teams begin to arrive. Gary & Mallory pick Meal. The Globetrotters and Kent & Vyxsin pick Walk.Kisha & Jen get to the ferris wheel first and begin to eat the huge (and primarily fried) plate of food. Zev & Justin are just behind them. Both of the eating teams are struggling at the halfway point. Kisha & Jen just miss finishing in time and head for the other leg of the Detour.Gary & Mallory get to the ferris wheel.Zev & Justin also fail the Detour and head for the other half. Gary & Mallory start their trip.Flight Time & Big Easy grab their couch and head for the University of Vienna. Kisha & Jen are just behind them in third. After a decent gap Jet & Cord reach the university in fourth. Zev & Justin got bad advice and unnecessarily carried the couch to the third floor. They are well back of the cowboys in fifth. Gary & Mallory finish the Detour in last place.Zev & Justin pass the cowboys on the highway. Kent & Vyxsin are fighting over directions. The Globetrotters get the next clue first and read about the Road Block. One team members must dress in a chimney sweep's uniform. Zev & Justin leave after getting some directions from locals.Flight Time & Big Easy stop and ask a cab driver for directions.Kisha and Vyxsin complete the Road Block together and head out in third and fourth.Jet & Cord get to the Road Block clue and Jet volunteers. The Globetrotters appear to have trouble with directions and are caught on the road by Zev & Justin, who reach Phil in first and win the cars.Flight Time & Big Easy are somewhat disappointed to reach Phil in second.Jet finishes his Road Block just as Gary & Mallory arrive. Open with the teams learning they will be heading by train to Liechtenstein. When they cross the boarder into the country from Austria they will receive their next clue. Zev & Justin are first to depart and they see there will be a double U-Turn this leg.The sense seems to be that Jet & Cord are the only team that hasn't partnered up with any of the other teams. All six teams get on the same train to Austria. When the trip ends they all sprint for cabs to the border crossing, with Jet & Cord seeming to have a slight lead. With Gary & Mallory's driver having difficulty with traffic, Zev & Justin's cabbie helps them get to the next clue in first.Zev & Justin are first to read about this week's Roadblock: One team member must take a motorized bicycle, a map and an odometer, and measure the entire length of Liechtenstein -- approximately 22 kilometers. If their answer is correct they will be told the next destination. If they are incorrect they must perform the challenge again. Justin, Flight Time, Jen, Jet and Vyxsin are chosen. The teams notice Gary & Mallory (who haven't arrived yet) have a Speed Bump connected to the Roadblock. The first five teams are well on their way on their bikes and Gary & Mallory still haven't gotten to the site. When they finally arrive they learn they must figure out the math required to properly mix the gasoline for their motor bike before staring the Roadblock. They seem initially confused. It looks as if Jet missed a turn along the route, with Flight Time also appearing to be lost. Jen has dropped her map.Gary & Mallory figure out the gas formula and Gary hops on the bike.Jen realizes she doesn't have her map. Justin passes a confused-looking Vyxsin. Gary catches up with Jet and follows him. Justin lets Jen use his map. Gary gets caught up in traffic and Jet leaves him behind.Justin arrives at the finish and guesses 22km. He is correct and sent to a nearby castle. On his way out Justin confirms for Jen the right answer.Jet's guess is incorrect: 35km. He heads for the start line. The other team members are waiting at the castle. Zev & Justin and Kisha & Jen read that teams must travel by bus and train to the ski resort town of Zermatt, Switzerland at the base of the Matterhorn.Flight Time passes the top two teams. He is about to guess 20km, but Justin and Jen tell him the correct number. Flight Time catches up with Gary and tells him the answer as well. Those two get the number correct, as does Vyxsin who is just behind them.We see Jet is being particularly careful this time not to get lost.Gary & Mallory and Flight Time & Big Easy leave the castle in third and fourth. Kent & Vyxsin are just behind them.Zev & Justin and Kisha & Jen get on the train leg, still well ahead of the other teams.Jet has the correct answer when he arrives at the finish line the second time. The next three teams get on the train just as the cowboys leave the castle. The first two teams get to Zermatt and read about this week's Detour: Cheese or Wheeze. In Cheese teams go to a restaurant and must eat a large pot of cheese fondue. In Wheeze they must deliver 20 pieces of luggage to at least five different hotels and return to the station with the correct bag numbers. Zev & Justin and Kisha & Jen both pick Cheese. At the restaurant Justin sees the cheese and is nervous. The ladies feel the same way and Kisha & Jen leave for the Wheeze half. They start the challenge. Zev appears to be carrying their team through the cheese eating. The second train arrives. The Globetrotters pick Wheeze, as do Kent & Vyxsin and Gary & Mallory.Zev & Justin are still battling through the cheese.Kent & Vyxsin immediately start bickering as they begin the Detour.Kisha & Jen are seven bags through.Zev & Justin are going to stick it out with the cheese.Kisha & Jen reach their third hotel and go back to the start for more bags. Gary & Mallory still haven't left the station.Zev & Justin seem to have hit a wall. Justin leaves to throw up on the patio.Kisha & Jen drop off bags at the fourth hotel.Jet & Cord arrive in Switzerland and pick Wheeze.Kish & Jen drop of their 20th bag and head for the train station.Jet & Cord begin their Detour.Zev & Justin finally finish their cheese and get their next clue. They read that teams are supposed to head to the fountain at Inderbinen Brunnen, which is the location of the double U-Turn. Two teams will be able to force two other teams to complete the other half of the Detour. Jen & Kisha get their clue and seem to be in second place, just behind Zev & Justin.Kent & Vyxsin and the Globetrotters near the end of the Wheeze Detour.Zev & Justin are first to the fountain and decide not to U-Turn anybody. They read that teams must travel by electric taxi to the next Pit Stop, the Moos restaurant at the base of the Alps. The guys get on a taxi.Kisha & Jen also decide not to U-Turn anybody and jump on an electric taxi.Zev & Justin are the first team to reach Phil and receive a trip for two to the Caribbean. This is their fourth win of the season.Kisha & Jen are second to get to Phil and complete the leg.Kent & Vyxsin deliver their 20th bag. Flight Time & Big Easy bring luggage to the wrong hotel.Gary & Mallory deliver their 20th bag.Kent & Vyxsin get their next clue at the train station. They read the clue and realize that they've already used their U-Turn for the season. The Globetrotters deliver their 20th bag at a sixth hotel.Gary & Mallory return to the train station and get the next clue.Flight Time & Big Easy get to the train station but only seem to have 18 of their 20 bag tags. They grab two more bags and leave for another hotel.Kent & Vyxsin get to the fountain. Unable to U-Turn anyone they head for the restaurant. Gary & Mallory are just behind them in fourth and decide not to use a U-Turn.Flight Time & Big Easy drop off the two additional bags. Almost simultaneously the cowboys deliver their 20th bag.Kent & Vyxsin reach Phil in third. Gary & Mallory are close behind in fourth. The Globetrotters return to the train station in fifth. The cowboys don't seem far behind. But Flight Time & Big Easy reach the fountain in fifth and use a U-Turn on Jet & Cord. The Globetrotters say they feel bad about it but "it's us or them."Flight Time & Big Easy reach Phil in fifth.Jet & Cord finish their cheese and get to Phil in last. They are eliminated.

Like the Globetrotters, Kisha & Jen were eliminated at this stage in their season. Gary & Mallory and Zev & Justin get on the same train as the first two teams. In Zurich teams work on travel arrangements for Rio. Flight Time & Big Easy and Zev & Justin get tickets arriving in Brazil the next morning at 7:30. Kisha & Jen and Gary & Mallory are booking arrangements with a travel agent to land much later but when the Globetrotters come and hear their time Mallory realizes something is up. Ultimately all four teams get on the same flight. In Rio they race to taxis. Kisha & Jen are the first team to get to the tram, followed closely by Zev & Justin. The first three teams make it on the same tram. The Gloebtrotters are moments too late (due primarily to a slow cabbie) and will have to wait 30 minutes for the next trip.On the steps Zev & Justin are the first team to locate a route marker tile and see that teams are to head for Largo de Sao Francisco da Prainha, where they will look for their next clue near Rua Sacadura Cabral. Gary & Mallory and Kisha & Jen are just behind. The Globetrotters finally get on the tram.Zev & Justin are the first team to get the next clue and read about this week's Road Block. One team member will learn to dance the Samba and lead a dance troupe on a parade through the streets. Once a judge deems their dancing up to par they receive the next clue. Zev must perform the challenge as he only has four Road Blocks under his belt. He seems to be struggling with keeping the rhythm.Gary & Mallory arrive and pick Mallory. She seems right at home.Kisha and Jen seem to have been dropped off at the wrong location by their cab driver. They get in another cab.The Globetrotters find their route tile on the steps.Mallory has the dance figured out almost instantly, while Zev seems totally lost.Mallory is given the thumb's up on her first try and is given the next clue: Teams are to make their way to Copacabana by taxi and find a specific salon.Zev is giving a 'no' by the judge on his first attempt, just as Kisha & Jen arrive. Kisha is chosen.Gary & Mallory find the salon and read that every team member (male and female) must endure a 15-minute body-waxing procedure before receiving their next clue. Father and daughter start their waxing.Zev gets a 'no' on his second attempt. Kisha, meanwhile, gets approved on her first attempt. With Zev still struggling the Globetrotters arrive and pick Big Easy to perform the samba.Gary & Mallory finish their wax and learn about this week's Detour: On the Rocks or One the Beach. In Rocks, teams make their way to a bar and learn how to make Brazil's national cocktail, the caipirinha. Once they've made 100 acceptable caipirinhas they will get the next clue. In Beach, teams must sell bikini tops on the Copacabana beach. They must get every customer to model their new top using a portable changing room. The leg is completed when they've made the equivalent of $60. Gary & Mallory select Rocks.Big Easy starts working on the Road Block and seems to have no trouble. Zev is still floundering. Somehow Zev is finally given a 'yes' from the judge, while Big Easy flubs part of the dance and is gets a 'no' on his first attempt. With Zev & Justin on the road Big Easy nails his second attempt and the Globetrotters move on.Gary & Mallory are taught how to make the caipirinha. They both seem to have trouble with the order of making the drink.Kisha & Jen start their body waxing.Zev & Justin have trouble with their directions to the Copacabana salon and allow Flight Time & Big Easy to catch them and move into third. The Globetrotters start their waxing.Kisha & Jen finish their wax and pick Rocks. Flight Time & Big Easy are just after them and also select Rocks.Zev & Justin finally get to the salon. They are unfortunately much hairier than the other teams.Kisha & Jen start their bartending, followed just a few minutes by the Globetrotters. Gary & Mallory have a 30-drink lead on the those two teams.Zev & Justin finally finish their waxing and select Beach. Zev & Justin are having trouble finding women willing to both purchase and model a suit.Gary & Mallory maintain their 30-cocktail lead over Kisha & Jen, with the Globetrotters about ten behind them. Gary & Mallory are the first team to finish the Detour and read that team must now make their to way across town to the Pit Stop, Rio's Museum of Contemporary Art. The last team to check in will be eliminated.Zev & Justin decide to give up on selling bikinis and move to the other half of the Detour.Gary & Mallory reach Phil first and win the leg. Kisha & Jen and Flight Time & Big Easy also get tickets. They seem to all be arriving at the same time.In Miami they get cabs and head for the marina. Gary & Mallory have issues getting a cab and drop to third.Kisha & Jen get to Rickenbacker just steps ahead of Flight Time & Big Easy and both teams read about this week's Road Block. One team member must learn how to operate a forklift designed to move boats into dry dock. Once they have successfully placed a boat on its dock they will receive their next clue. Kisha and Flight Time are selected and get a crash course in how to operate the machine.Gary & Mallory's driver seems not to know where there are headed and grabs his phone.Kisha lifts her boat from the water with no issues and has a slight lead on Flight Time.Mallory is panicking, as it seems their driver is lost.Flight Time finishes the Road Block first and the Globetrotters get the next clue. Teams must head to Key Largo and find their next clue at the Jules Undersea Lodge. Kisha finishes soon after the Globetrotters cab leaves the marina.Gary & Mallory's cab driver still has no idea where to go. They pull over and get directions. Eventually they find the marina and Gary is selected to tackle the Road Block. Mallory tells us they have forklifts at their home.Flight Time & Big Easy reach the lodge in first place and read about another Road Block. The other team member must take a person submarine known as a bob dive and navigate underwater until their find a chest containing the next clue. Big Easy heads inside just as Kisha & Jen arrive and we flash back to the issues Jen has had with water in the past. Big Easy and Jen start looking for their chest.Gary finishes his Road Block without incident and they head for Key Largo. Mallory is trying desperately to stay positive on their way.Big Easy is the first to find the clue. They read a clue that seems to be a riddle telling teams to next find a mile marker 29 at Big Pine Key.Jen fins her clue. The Globetrotters walk outside and see their taxi has left them. In the scramble to find directions from a local resident Kisha & Jen take the lead.Gary & Mallory read the lodge and Mallory sprints to her bob dive.Kisha & Jen get to the mile marker first and read the next clue. It instructs team to walk across a shallow section of the ocean to Horseshoe Island. Under the tallest tree on the island will be the next clue. The Globetrotters seem to be a few minutes behind them.Kisha & Jen get to the clue on the island first and read that teams must return to the mainland and take a high-speed boat to Galway Bay Mobile Home Park. Kisha & Jen sneak past the Globetrotters on their way out. Flight Time & Big Easy find the clue quickly.Mallory finally reaches her clue. Their driver does not know where Big Pine Key is located.Kisha & Jen get on their boat just as the Globetrotters reach the mainland. Gary & Mallory find their next clue and walk across the ocean. Gary & Mallory find the clue under the tallest tree and head back.Kisha & Jen reach the next clue and read about the next challenge. Teams must chose a small trailer, wheel their mobile home to vacancy and re-create the decorative set-up from a picture before getting their next clue. The Globetrotters also are told their first set-up is incorrect.Gary & Mallory reach their plot and see that the other two teas are still working on the challenge.Kisha & Jen's second attempt is turned down and they seem to realize what they are missing. The judge approves their third attempt. They read they are next to head by taxi for the Finish Line at Seven-Mile Bridge.Flight Time & Big Easy still can't get their set-up to match the brochure. They finally realize their table was also incorrect and are given the next clue.Kisha & Jen reach Seven-Mile Bridge and grab bicycles. Flight Time & Big Easy are a few minutes behind them.
