1Like Father, Like Daughter

In this very first episode we get to know Alex, Bobby, Tony, Latka, Elaine and Louie. While Bobby and Tony make calls for free to places all around the world, Alex tells everyone that he has a daughter he once abandoned and hasn't seen for 15 years. The guys convince him to call his daughter and he finally does. Elaine starts her part-time job as a cab driver and gets to know the boys. Latka tries to improve his English, with the help of Alex. John, initially being a costumer of Alex, becomes part of the cab company as a driver.

Alex goes on a blind date with Angela, whose name he only knows from the phone. When Alex and Angela meet, Angela, who seems to be experienced on blind dates, acts as if she had been disappointed a lot by men. This is mainly due to the fact that she is not looking like most men expect, but Alex seems to have no real problem with it. Latka finds $2000 in the back seat of one of the cabs and the crew does not know if they should return it or not. Suddenly, the boys show up during Alex's date with Angela.

Elaine drives a very rude costumer, who accuses her cheating on the fair. Back at the garage, Elaine invites Alex to come to a party in her apartment, which she gives for the people from the art gallery where she works at, but she doesn't want him to tell anyone that they both work as cab drivers, because she is embarrassed. But Alex says he is okay to lie about Elaine's occupation, but he is not okay to lie about him being a cab driver. The rest of the crew sort of invite themselves to the party after hearing about it. But Elaine explicitly say that Lou isn't allow to come. Elaine makes Alex to come over a little earlier so he is the first at the party and he can give her some moral support. Then the guests start to poor in.

6The Great Line

John meets a girl at a bar and to his surprise she likes to have a drink with him. After heading of with her to go bowling, he doesn't show up at work for a few days. After returning, he tells everyone that he got married to the girl he met at the bar. But this doesn't make John very happy.

7High School Reunion

Louie has a high school reunion coming up and he's dreading it because he was the butt of everyone's jokes and cruelty back then. Bobby Wheeler, who normally loathes Louie himself comes up with a crazy scheme to help Louie get even with everyone. Bobby will "cast himself" as,a very much changed Louie DePalma! The ruse is working greatly but Louie takes a bold step at the reunion that settles the score once and for all.

In one of the episodes funniest lines, Tony tells Alex, "you don't even think enough of me to sleep with my sister." The final confrontation between Tony and JIm is classic. After Latka arrives late at the garage he is confronted by Louie who let's him off the the hook for his transgression. He tells the cabbies that his grandmother has died and left him her recepie for cookies. Latka informs them he is going to try to make it in the baking business. Quickly he and Louie have a confrontation and he quits. The cabbies continue to chew away on the tough cookies and as time goes by they start to embrace them. Reverend Jim returns from his vacation to Omaha, which was originally supposed to be in Miami. It doesn't take Jim long to smell the special ingredients in Latka's cookies and immediately identifies, not only the content, but their origins. One by one the cabbies, most on their day off, come in looking for the cookies with varying forms of euphoria. After Alex realises that coca leaves are the secret ingredient he heads over to Latka's to prevent him form comercially distributing his cookies. Alex informs Latka of the unlawful ingredient and comes to understand the gravity of the situation. Alex detoxifies with Latka and falls asleep. A sleepless Latka halluciantes Famous Amous and comes to realise that his capitalistic idealisations indoctorinated him into the American Culture, he has become and American.

9Thy Boss' Wife

This is one of the funniest Taxi's of all time. In it, The wife of the Sunshine Cab Company's owner comes to visit and they have a big fight. While she is up in the owners office, Louis tells the story of the last time this happend. Many years ago, the owner and his wife had a big fight so she came down to where the cabbies hang out and asked one of the cabbie's to go to dinner with her. She seduced the cabbie and then told her husband. The cabbie disappeared. Elaine askes why Louis is soo happy and he said the owners wife would surely pick Tony or Bobbie so Louis would be rid of one of them. Then, Alex comes in and heads to his locker. The cabbies, knowing Alex had been a driver for many years thought he would know if this story was true. As they ask him, you hear the owners wife screaming and as she exits the office, well, you'll have to watch, but Alex's reaction if priceless. So, the owners wife comes down and starts to look around, trying to decide which cabbie to use to get back at her husband. Luios, exstatic, askes her if he can intro duce her to anyone. Instead, she asks Luios to come to her apartment that night. The rest of the show is a battle between the Louis who is terrified he will be killed and the Pig Louis who would risk death for a little action.
