Tod and Buz take labor jobs on a Louisiana offshore oil rig. Tod immediately finds the behavior of a seemingly out-of-place older worker to be odd. As Tod continues to watch the man he finds the strange behavior has a sane purpose-the man is a Nazi hunter who is closing in on his prey.

Tod and Buz, driving through California "West by North" in a rainstorm nearly run over a young woman. After giving her a lift to the next town they find she is on the run from a murder charge. Despite the protests of the Sheriff, the townspeople and the woman herself, Buz feels there is more to the story than obvious guilt.

Tod and Buz,working as ranch hands in a drought stricken area of Utah,befriend a desperate family.The family's farm does not have sufficient water to maintain the livestock.The family comes to realize that solving the problem in the short run may not be the only option.

Tod and Buz, now working in a small town Oregon sawmill, aid a young woman recently arrived from Italy. She is a WWII war orphan who has come to the U.S. to sell a legacy left to her by a dead G.I. in order to raise funds for her church. The problem is the G.I. actually never owned anything.
9Layout at Glen Canyon
Tod and Buz, working as laborers near Page, Arizona on a dam project, are reassigned by the Project Manager to run interference for a group of fashion models shooting pictures at the site. The lady chaperoning the models has her hands full too,dealing both with the girls and her past-with the Project Manager.
10The Beryllium Eater
Tod and Buz, working as laborers at a large scale Arizona mining operation, help an old-time prospector while "looking for their fortune" on a day off. The man has found a valuable claim and the owner of the large mining operation resorts to violence to find its location. Buz finds an unlikely ally in the owner's wife.
11A Fury Slinging Flame
Dr. Mark Christopher is a famous scientist who believes from his Russian friend's cryptic message that the USSR will initiate a New Year's Day nuclear attack on the United States. Unable to convince his associates to act on this information, Christopher, his son, and a small band of followers, he takes shelter deep inside Carlsbad Caverns Tod and Buz assist Paula Shay, a devious newspaper reporter who wants to interview Dr. Christopher.

A modern version of the old "David and Bathsheba" story in which King David fell in love with a married woman and arranged for her husband to be killed during a battle. Rich cattleman Woody Biggs continues to be rejected by recently widowed Laura Church so he has her framed for embezzlement and sent to prison. Then he pulls some strings and gets her paroled. Buz and Tod try to protect her from Woody who is pressuring her to marry him.
13The Quick and the Dead
Tod and Buz are in California for the Riverside Grand Prix auto races which Tod decides to enter in the Stock-Class.Doing well in practice,he is asked to drive in the main event.After being drawn into the conflict between a veteran driver,his daughter and second wife, Tod nearly is "rerouted" in more ways than one.
14Play It Glissando
Tod and Buz, vacationing in Malibu, California, are drawn into the world of a paranoid Progressive Jazz trumpeter and his wife. Told largely in flashback by Buz, beginning innocently enough with Buz having made a connection with lounge songstress Kitty Parker.
15The Clover Throne
Tod and Buz, in Indio, California for lunch, meet a flirtatious young woman. The two end up working at her guardians date farm. The guardian wants to marry his ward despite her indifference. Complicating the situation is a disputed highway paving project and one of the road crew workers who has an interest in the girl.
16Fly Away Home: Part I
Tod and Buz, in Phoenix, Arizona, and looking for work with a crop-dusting company, encounter a combat-scarred, world-weary pilot who is a self-described "Jonah." The pilot hates himself for still being alive and causing others' deaths. Buz' interest in the pilot's chanteuse ex-wife is a side story.
17Fly Away Home: Part II
Tod tempts the fates by training for crop dusting with the "jinx".The doomed pilot financially saves the dusting business by taking on a dangerous assignment and brings the owner of the business back to reality.Buz,ready to end his life's search,is turned down.He vows to look for her (and perhaps finds her in Season 3).
18Sleep on Four Pillows
Tod and Buz,in the Los Angeles area,while Tod is taking a computer class at UCLA and Buz sells cosmetics,aid a "girl in danger".She claims the mafia are after her to locate her "Don" father who they plan to kill.Tod and Buz have an uneasy series of adventures before the true story comes out.
19An Absence of Tears
Still in the Los Angeles area with Tod struggling over his computer class at UCLA and Buz enjoying the "sights", a beautiful blond woman enters their lives. She was recently married and almost immediately widowed. The lady will stop at nothing to find the men who killed her husband-despite being blind.
20Like a Motherless Child
Tod and Buz, driving through Nevada, pick up an orphan hitchhiking. Tod insists he be returned to the orphanage. Buz, both unhappy and angry, separates from Tod. On his own now, Buz looks to fill his loneliness and meets a motherly lady. He finds her sad life includes alcoholism over regret for a long lost son.
21Effigy in Snow
Tod and Buz travel to Squaw Valley, California for "some work and some fun". They barely settle in on their new jobs at the Squaw Valley Ski Lodge when the dead body of a female skier is found out on the slopes. The perpetrator, a mentally defective guest at the lodge, goes undetected and may seek another victim.
22Eleven, the Hard Way
Tod and Buz, driving through Nevada, help protect the bankroll of two men who are from the dried up mining town of Broken Knee. The two men are heading to Reno to try to win enough money at the craps table to fund a project which can save the town. Later in Reno, Tod and Buz end up lending moral and financial support.
23Most Vanquished, Most Victorious
Tod and Buz travel to Los Angeles in response to a letter Tod received from an Aunt who has not been heard of for 20 yrs and thought to be dead. From her deathbed she makes a final request of Tod-find her daughter. Tod and Buz embark on a search that leads them to many people and places and eventually to the answer.
24Don't Count Stars
Tod and Buz, in San Diego and employed in aerospace jobs, save a drunken man from drowning while they are enjoying a day off. The man's underage niece uses her influence to get Tod and Buz to help her. The objective is to sober him up so he can remain her guardian. The man is not cooperative and is hiding a secret.
25The Newborn
Tod and Buz, working as ranch hands in New Mexico, become disgusted with the actions of their employer. The man wants possession of his dead son's baby whether the mother approves of it or not. The rancher will stop at nothing to get his way and neither will his men-including murder.
26A Skill for Hunting
Tod and Buz, camping out near Sante Fe, New Mexico, have a run-in with a madman who is illegally hunting. Their car damaged, Tod and Buz seek the man out in Santa Fe. Buz gets satisfaction by giving him a severe beating. Later they are blamed for poaching and again seek the man out. This time the interchange becomes deadly.
27Trap at Cordova
Tod and Buz are bamboozled into a tiny remote mountain town in New Mexico. Once there,they are convicted on a trumped up "crime" with the sentence being to teach school for one year. Slowly,they come to lose their resentment and actually end up empathizing with the reason for the deception.
28The Opponent
Tod and Buz "detour" to Youngstown,Ohio to see a boyhood idol of Buz,a boxer who is scheduled to fight a local hero.The "idol" is no longer a contender,he is a punch-drunk has-been. Buz attempts both to build up the man's confidence and give him a view to the future with the help of the boxer's female admirer.
29Welcome to Amity
Tod and Buz, working as laborers in a factory in Amity, Ohio, meet a strange young woman at their boarding house. She is towing a headstone on a trailer behind her car-with the person's date of death from 10 years before. Finding she is a pariah in Amity, Tod and Buz offer help in carrying out her unusual mission.
30Incident on a Bridge
Tod and Buz, in Cleveland, Ohio working as laborers on a "three week job at a gravel yard", stay at their Russian supervisor's home. He has a mute daughter who has a miserable life. When a fellow Russian, whom the community has ostracized, shows his love for her tragedy follows. The two ill-fated people meet an uncertain end.
1A Month of Sundays
Tod and Buz, in Butte, Montana working as laborers in a copper mine, meet a beautiful girl at their rooming house. She is a local girl who has made it big and has mysteriously come home despite being the star of a current hit on Broadway. Buz quickly falls in love with her and becomes serious. Tod knows her dark secret.
2Blue Murder
Buz and Tod warily transport a horse with a reputation as a killer to its new owner, whose family is as dysfunctional as any clan Tennessee Williams conjured up. The owner's sensuous wife Blossom Bludge toys with Buz poolside, as she explains why she chose her power-crazed husband over her passive brother-in-law. A third brother, the brawny Cam Bludge, stands brooding and mute as the owner struggles to break the stallion, the way he tamed his own family. As usual, the episode features superb on-location photography, this time in Butte, Montana.
3Goodnight Sweet Blues
Tod and Buz, leaving Pittsburgh, almost have a head-on collision with a car driven by a gravely ill old woman. After the woman is stabilized at her home, Tod and Buz learn she does not have long to live. Her last wish is to re-unite with a jazz band she last sang with 30 yrs before. Tod and Buz agree to seek out the members.
4Birdcage on My Foot
Tod and Buz, in Boston for a day of leisure,interrupt an odd acting man who is attempting to steal a Corvette. Buz, seeing the man is an addict, wants to drop the matter but Tod insists the man be arrested. When it is confirmed the man is a junkie, Tod decides to try and get him clean. Buz has the burden fall on him.
5First Class Mouliak
Tod and Buz,working in Cleveland,Ohio as laborers in a foundry,are exposed to the close-knit world of Polish ethnic life by their Supervisor.Steeped in Old World tradition,he has dominated the lives of his children.When a fellow Pole's daughter disappears it leads to the discovery of his son's involvement.
6Once to Every Man
Tod and Buz fail to save their ship-builder boss from accidentally drowning, but stay on when his free-spirited daughter takes over the yard. Misnamed Prudence's as conflicted and headstrong as she's alluring - which stabs a fork between streetwise Buz, and preppy Tod whose background matches Prudence and upper-crust Gloucester, Massachusetts maddeningly.
7The Mud Nest
On intuition Buz steers the 66ers off route to a Maryland hamlet where everyone thinks they recognize Buz - as returning prodigal of a hated local clan. When Buz meets the Colby clan they look like clones - of Buz. Tod & Buz speed into Charm City where a family member ran to with-child, disappearing into the sin-filled streets of Baltimore. Orphan Buz has to know if she's his mother.
8A Bridge Across Five Days
Buz's sarcasm unwittingly freaks out a new office clerk at a shipbuilding plant, not knowing she's just been released from a mental hospital. She spent 18 years in Catonsville, Maryland's Spring Grove Hospital, ironically (& actually) located near Paradise & Prospect. Dundalk ship-workers Tod, Buz, and the female office staff rally around her as she battles to adjust to a world she's feared for so long.
9Mon Petit Chou
Tod and Buz are in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania working as crewmen on a tugboat. Tod "rescues" a pretty girl who oddly was water skiing in the shipping lanes. She is a singer from France, managed by a Svengali who closely watches her and is haunted by the memory of a previous "discovery" who deserted him.
10Some of the People, Some of the Time
Tod and Buz, driving through Pennsylvania, make the acquaintance of a man who runs small-town beauty/talent contests with the winners promised a movie studio connection. Tod and Buz eagerly go to work for him in order to meet the local lovelies. They find the "talent scout" rather promotes a living for himself.
11The Thin White Line
Tod and Buz,in Philadelphia working as "high floor" construction workers,are at a party and Tod mistakenly drinks a beer meant for a troublemaker.The beer was laced with "an experimental chemotherapy compound" by the party givers who are college students.Tod runs out of the party as the effects of the drug begin to wreak havoc on him.He experiences heightened senses,hallucinations and paranoia.Buz and the police turn Philly upside down to find Tod before he hurts himself or others.
12And the Cat Jumped Over the Moon
Tod and Buz are in Philadelphia visiting a friend/mentor of Buz from his New York Hell's Kitchen days. The old friend, a social worker trying to tame a quirky local gang leader, is killed after playing a rooftop "chicken game". Tod and Buz run into major trouble after staying to help a girl whose boyfriend has left the gang.
13Burning for Burning
Tod and Buz, working in rural Pennsylvania as handymen at a chicken ranch, become involved in the drama between the ranch's family matriarch and oldest son versus the visiting widowed wife and child of the youngest son. The family blames the widow for the son's death and are suspicious and resentful of her coming.
14To Walk with the Serpent
After a Neo-Nazi endeavors to recruit Tod & Buz as they check out patriotic sites in Boston, the FBI persuades Tod to go undercover for them, to prevent terrorism. Advising Tod and the FBI is the charismatic fascist leader's own father, who can't stop his brilliant, deranged son without homeland security.
15A Long Piece of Mischief
Tod and Buz, in Mesquite, Texas "finishing up a 30 day job at a brick factory", meet performers at the town's rodeo. Two of the contestants hate the rodeo's clown and torment him with nasty pranks. Buz is drawn into the latest gag unknowingly and helps both the rodeo clown and a female stunt rider to find peace with themselves.
161800 Days to Justice
Job seeks justice in his hometown after 5 years in a Texas prison. David Job and his gang take over the scrub town, putting its kingpins and collaborators on kangaroo trial for railroading Job out, and into prison. Passersby Buz & Tod get rounded up too, with Tod assigned to act as the defense mouthpiece. As Job and local Goliath Harcourt Jr. contend over maid Marion Ross, brother Doodle Job must choose sides.
17City of Wheels
Tod and Buz, are in Long Beach, California working as Re-hab Staff at the Veteran's Hospital. They encounter a particularly bitter patient. He has lost the desire to live since finding out he will never walk again and being dumped by his wife. A nurse who "would love him even if he could walk" and Buz change things.
18How Much a Pound Is Albatross?
Tod and Buz, passing trough Tucson, Arizona, encounter a sexy but odd woman. Her "albatross" (constant burden) is trying to deal with the loss of both parents, brother and sister from a ship lost at sea. Her unique way of grieving is to "experience life to it's fullest but taking nothing seriously". She never realizes that taking nothing seriously also makes everything meaningless.
19Aren't You Surprised to See Me?
Tod and Buz are in Dallas, Texas employed at an import company. While at work, Buz is kidnapped by a religious zealot who has killed in six different cities. The mentally unbalanced man "warns" each city he visits that unless they obey the Ten Commandments for 24 hours he will have to "sacrifice" one of their citizens.
20You Never Had It So Good
Tod and Buz are in Phoenix, Arizona working as construction laborers with a land development company. When Tod due to his Yale background is summoned to Personnel about a job opening, Buz goes in his place in order to meet a pretty lady executive. Buz surprisingly gets the job and may have "found his place in the world". Or has he?
21Shoulder the Sky, My Lad
Tod and Buz, working in Phoenix, Arizona as punch press operators, are befriended by their Jewish supervisor. When the kindly man is senselessly killed by muggers his 8 year old son blames God. Tod and Buz have different views of how to help the young man mourn and regain his faith.
22Blues for the Left Foot
Tod and Buz are in Los Angeles working at CBS as stage hands. A dancer who Tod had a crush on during his Yale days has recently become widowed from an older star actor who was a hopeless alcoholic. Now in her late 20's, she has not worked for almost ten years. Tod and Buz help and encourage her to make a life for herself.
23Go Read the River
Tod and Buz, still out West, are separated as Tod accepts a short term job at Lake Havasu, Arizona helping to test an experimental boat motor. The main designer is driven and totally immersed in the project - until his long-lost daughter turns up. Tod helps both the daughter and the engineer to come to grips with their lives.
24Even Stones Have Eyes
Tod and Buz are in Austin, Texas employed as construction workers. On the job, Buz is hit on the head and nearly killed. He recovers but with a problem - he is totally blind. After initially having suicidal thoughts, Buz goes to a rural school for the blind. He slowly learns to cope with his situation and finds love as well.
25Love Is a Skinny Kid
A woman in a hideous Japanese mask refuses to remove it or give her name, as she riles up a Texas town after arriving to stage a memorial for a long-dead girl. Buz is fascinated by the scorned young woman but she refuses his help.
26Kiss the Maiden All Forlorn
Tod and Buz, heading toward Dallas, Texas, stop to help a girl whose car has broken down. The three are kidnapped at gunpoint, taken to a Dallas hotel and held prisoner. The kidnappers are associates of a wanted millionaire embezzler who has come back to the U.S. to stop the girl, his daughter, from becoming a nun.
27Two on the House
Tod and Buz are in Cleveland, Ohio where they are employed as crewman on the Cuyahoga River tour boat. They are drawn into the drama surrounding a motherless, lonely son of a workaholic land developer. The boy is seemingly in danger of being harmed or kidnapped. When he does disappear the truth is soon found out by Tod and Buz.
28There I Am - There I Always Am
Tod and Buz are staying on Catalina Island, California beach, and enjoying the Winter there. When Tod goes on an errand to Avalon, Buz settles in for an enjoyable time but an irresponsible woman creates a frenetic day for him. He must free her foot, caught in the shoreline rocks, before the engulfing tide comes in.
29Between Hello and Goodbye
Tod is in the Los Angeles area working as a laborer at Pacific Ocean Park and moonlighting as a Realtor. Told in flashback, he encounters a young woman who "is split in two" by the memory of her parents divorce. Buz is not seen -"he has a virus and will be on his back another three weeks" in an unnamed hospital.
30A Feat of Strength
Tod in the Los Angeles area, goes to work as an aide to a wrestling promoter who is owed a debt by a lady with a husband just released from prison in Hungary. The promoter loves the woman and seeks to break up the marriage. Buz is not seen - he is in an isolation ward at Pacoima Hospital with a "mysterious virus".
31Hell Is Empty, All the Devils Are Here
Tod is in Thousand Oaks, California "wrangling camels" at the Jungleland zoo. The zoo's owner has nightmares about the tiger which killed his first wife, a famous animal trainer. His second wife and Tod are puzzled as to what else he has in his thoughts. Buz is not seen - Tod mentions he has "a buddy in the Pacoima Hospital".
32From an Enchantress Fleeing
Tod, in Southern California, is working for an ultra-successful female doctor who combines psychology and dentistry. When her husband disappears, Tod is assigned to look for him. Tod does and finds an unhappy man who is tired of his wife's dominance and unwilling to live her lifestyle. Buz is not seen-or mentioned.
1One Tiger to a Hill
Tod and Buz, in Astoria, Oregon, are working as crewmen on a fishing boat owned by a woman. She has a beautiful daughter who is strangely attracted to a disagreeable local fisherman. The man is haunted by a decision he made years before in WWII. When he notices Tod is interested in the girl a violent all-out feud develops.
2Journey to Nineveh
Tod and Buz, driving through rural Missouri "about four hours out of Kansas City", decide to detour and go fishing. On the way they pick up a "Jonah" who carries "slapstick" bad luck wherever he goes. Unknowingly, he also carries an engagement ring which will determine whether or not his brother will be freed.
3Man Out of Time
Tod and Buz, are working as taxi drivers in Chicago, Illinois. They become acquainted with a Prohibition Era beer baron just released from a 32 year prison term. Tod and Buz strongly differ in their regard for this man, who finds time has changed the people and places of his youth. However, one thing may not have changed - an old enemy.
4Ever Ride the Waves in Oklahoma?
Tod and Buz, driving up the California coast, give a ride to a surfer heading to Huntington Beach to challenge the local "king". When the surfer is killed in his attempt, Buz vows to bring the king down. It becomes a battle between Buz who is "locked into the world" and the king who has "walked away from the whole gritty world".
5Voice at the End of the Line
Tod and Buz are working in Chicago as, respectively, a motel lifeguard and a warehouse employee. Buz inadvertently helps colleagues who are playing a nasty practical joke on their supervisor; the latter, profoundly embarrassed by the intrusion into his private life, quits. Buz tries to help him regain his confidence, in part by orchestrating a meeting between the supervisor and the telephone-answering-service woman that the "joke" centered on.
6Lizard's Leg and Owlet's Wing
Tod and Buz are working as Guest Liaisons at a motel just outside of Chicago. Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr. and Peter Lorre meet there to discuss whether the old monster costumes they used in films will still scare a TV audience today. A group of Executive Secretaries meeting at the motel provide a handy "test group".
8Welcome to the Wedding
Tod talks with a murderer in a train station, as Tod & Buz await a maid of honor for a wedding. The convict is back here in his hometown, being transferred to a distant prison, and pleads with Tod to bring his brother to the terminal, because no one in his family will visit him. Tod is touched by the bereft man, so he cabs to the brother's home, while Buz heads to the wedding.
9Every Father's Daughter
Tod and Buz are in Cleveland, Ohio working for a road construction company as laborers. Their boss encourages them to meet his attractive, yet erratic, daughter. The father has hidden from her the fact that she suffers from the same medical problem that killed her mother. An operation may or may not save her.
10Poor Little Kangaroo Rat
Tod and Buz, traveling along the California coast, go to work as "shark hunters" for a doctor using sharks as lab specimens to study the effects of cholesterol. The doctor, working under a research grant, has an unhappy jealous wife who wants him to return to private practice. Their son is caught in the middle of the turmoil.
11Hey, Moth, Come Eat the Flame
Tod and Buz are in St. Louis, Missouri working as laborers at a gravel quarry. They attempt to help a 13 year old boy who is a neighbor in their apartment building. The boy is living there with his widowed father, a habitual alcoholic. The man cannot seem to relate to his son and make any sense out of his life.
12Only by Cunning Glimpses
Tod and Buz,drive out of Cleveland, Ohio and a washed out bridge makes them stop and review the recent past. Why they left is explained in flashback. The predictions of a nightclub mentalist have been all too real for Tod, he has seen one after another come true. The last prediction is the scariest-his fiery killing of Buz.
13Where Is Chick Lorimer, Where Has She Gone?
Tod, on the road to a job in St. Louis, is conned into helping a lady bail jumper escape. He vows to find her-and does in St. Charles, Missouri. A successful singer at one time, she is now a stripper. Tod finds himself irresistibly drawn to her. Buz is not seen-he is in a Cleveland hospital fighting an "echo-virus".
14Give the Old Cat a Tender Mouse
Tod driving toward Memphis, Tennessee sees old love interest Vicki Russell speeding by and pursues her. He does not know she is going there to meet someone "as impulsive and undisciplined as herself"-and get married. Buz is not seen-he is in Cleveland at Mercy Hospital with "echo-virus" (ringing in the ears).
15A Bunch of Lonely Pagliaccis
Tod is employed as a general factotum for an award winning novelist, in Hernando, Mississippi. He is a minor bystander in the story of the author's daughter who murders her husband. Her motive for the killing is unknown and a bombshell when revealed. Buz is not seen - he is "healing" in an unnamed location.
16You Can't Pick Cotton in Tahiti
Tod, in Chisholm, Tennessee working at a cotton gin, meets another "Yankee". He is a nomadic Hollywood song writer who has stopped in town looking for new material. The outsider is not popular with some of the locals and Tod becomes his reluctant protector. Buz is not seen, he is "thinking about girl's again" while in an unnamed hospital.
17A Gift for a Warrior
Tod and Buz, about to enter Mexico from California, encounter a young man who is there to meet his American father for the first time. The father was in Germany 18 years before as a WWII G.I. and has no idea what he is about to encounter - or that he even has a son. Buz disappears permanently with no explanation after this episode.

Tod, now alone and working in the Los Angeles area as an oil field laborer, meets the girl of his dreams. She is attractive, playful and intelligent but evasive. After his credit card turns up missing, Tod begins to unravel the mystery and finds the dream has turned into a nightmare - and three different people.
19Somehow It Gets to Be Tomorrow
Tod, still alone,travels to Corpus Christi, Texas for a job at a grain processing plant and encounters a thieving 13 year old boy. The boy and his sister are orphans who dislike their foster parents and are looking for a new life in a different town-and a father figure. Tod is a possible candidate.
20...Shall Forfeit His Dog and Ten Shillings to the King
Tod, still alone, is working in Apache Junction, Arizona at a dog racing track. When two men rob and kill the owner, Tod joins the posse trailing into the desert/mountains. The hidden reason for the crime eventually comes out and makes Tod wonder "can people only make themselves important at the expense of others?".
21In the Closing of a Trunk
Tod, still alone and wintering in the Texas gulf working on a ferry. A woman returns to the area after spending 27 yrs in prison for murdering her father. She has come to find her son and the woman's uncle convinces her that Tod is her son. Tod is kind to her but is not aware of just how fragile her state of mind is.
22The Cage Around Maria
Tod, still alone, is in Texas working as a tour guide at the Houston Zoo. He rescues a dazed young woman from the bear "pit". Later she explains to Tod that she made a spectacle of herself in order to find someone to help her. She suspects her penniless stepfather has attempted to kill her wealthy mother-and will try again.
23Fifty Miles from Home
Tod, still alone, is in Houston working at SE Texas University as a gym manager. When much decorated Viet Nam vet Lincoln Case is "hoo-rahed" by members of the basketball team, the "ticking time bomb" violently retaliates. Tod seeks revenge and after a brutal fistfight both men come to an understanding. "Linc" vows to "search this country for a meaning to life".
24Narcissus on an Old Red Fire Engine
Tod and new friend/traveling companion (Lincoln Case) are in Galveston, Texas working as laborers at a cotton processing plant. Linc is "knocked out" by a kooky girl he meets in a seamy Greek fisherman's bar. Something in her past has scared and scarred her. What she wants out of life is unknown - even to herself.
25The Cruelest Sea of All
Tod and Linc are in Crystal River, Florida working at Weeki Wachee "the Spring of Live Mermaids". Tod is the only "merman" amongst 30 "mermaids" entertaining tourists. He meets an odd newcomer. She is a tireless swimmer with abnormal lung capacity and a murky background. Tod wonders is it all a put-on or is she a real mermaid?
26Peace, Pity, Pardon
Tod and Linc in Tampa, Florida find that their rooming house neighbor is not simply a part of professional jai lai. He is also an anti-Castro freedom fighter and a wanted man in Cuba. Linc sympathizes with the fellow "soldier" and agrees to help him on his next mission-the liberation of his son from Castro's Cuba.
27What a Shining Young Man Was Our Gallant Lieutenant
Tod and Linc, in the Tampa, Florida area, visit Linc's former Vietnam platoon leader. Unknown to Linc,the one-time peerless leader has suffered a brain injury which has reduced him mentally to a child. The sad story does not effect Linc's loyalty to the man but frustrates Tod when Linc decides to stay and help.
28But What Do You Do in March
Tod and Linc are in Tierra Verde, Florida working for a housing tract developer. Due to a boating incident they meet "two little rich girls". Competitors since childhood, they make full use of Tod and Linc in their latest contest-a powerboat race. Linc takes "his girl" seriously and Tod can clearly see what it will lead to.
29Who Will Cheer My Bonnie Bride
Tod and Linc driving to Cape Coral, Florida run out of gas. Linc goes for help and is "aided" by two men who involve him in a stick-up and shooting. Despite being part of a statewide manhunt, Linc offers first aid to one of the men who has been shot. The two men (and Linc) then continue on to their original destination - a wedding!
30Shadows of an Afternoon
Tod and Linc in Punta Gorda, Florida are working at a Shell plant. They are living at a rented house and responsible for lawn/garden work and the family dog. The dog becomes injured and a respected neighbor accuses Linc of having "cut the dog with pruning shears". Linc is arrested and assumed guilty by the angry townsfolk.
31Soda Pop and Paper Flags
Tod and Linc are en route from St. Louis to Memphis, Tennessee. They stop in Mapleton, Mo., for gas. Tod defends a transient hobo from troublemakers. Deciding to stay, Tod & Linc go to work for a rubber processing plant. Later when the hobo is accused by a mob of vigilantes of bringing a sleeping virus into town Tod once again helps him.
