Sean Cameron Michael was born in Cape Town, South Africa. His father was an opera singer and his mother a professional modern dancer. He started acting at the age of 12 and has since performed in over 20 professional theatrical productions. He has come a long way since his days on the soap box as the drug dealer, Brett, in Mnet's "Egoli" (Place of Gold) and TV presenting and scriptwriting on SABC's "Teleschool" (today known as "Take 5"). Over the past 20 years he has impressively notched up numerous theatrical, television and film credits. In 2004 he 'treaded the boards' again in "Witnesses", "Pillow Talk" and "Full Circle" (which won the PANSA award for best new playwright), working with first time aspiring South African writers and directors. In the same year he also played a cameo role in Cape of Good Hope (2004) which won the Austin Film Festival Audience and Feature Film awards. 2005 was his fore into the world of SciFi TV series, with guest and supporting roles in "Charlie Jade" (2005), "Supernova" (2005) (mini) and opposite Eric Stoltz, Bruce Davison and Sam Neill in Bryan Singer and Dean Devlin's Emmy winning "The Triangle" (2005). 2006 noted Sean's return to film with appearances in Opération Rainbow Warrior (2006) (TV)for TF1 (France), Rayda Jacobs' Confessions of a Gambler (2007) and Faith Like Potatoes (2006) for director Regardt van den Bergh. In 2008 Sean received top billing playing the title role in Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls (2008) (V) for The Asylum. He also guest-starred in 24: Redemption (2008) (TV) (opposite Kiefer Sutherland) for FOX, "Crusoe" (2008) (opposite Sean Bean & Sam Neill) for NBC and "Special Forces Heroes" (2008) for the BBC. In 2009 Sean can be seen playing the support role of Paul van der Sloot in Natalee Holloway (2009) (TV) for Sony Pictures and Albert Schweitzer (2009) (opposite Barbara Hershey and Jeroen Krabbe).
