Recently, she finished shooting an episode of "CSI: NY" (2004) called "Right Next Door" as Megan Tanner, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (2009) (VG) videogame, (with Vin Diesel) based on the film The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), & was involved in the National tour of "Stand Through the Eyes of a Child" (2007) with Marla Gibbs as Karen. Prior, she finished shooting the feature "King of the City" (fka:"Exhibit A"), (dir. by Kevin Williams - 2008), as the role of a Mob Boss's youngest sister, and appeared in David Lynch's Inland Empire (2006), which stars Laura Dern ). Schooler also shot the next comedic film by Patrick Coleman Duncan, called A Mock Time: A Star Trek Wedding (2007), and the short film Girrl (2007) directed by Gabriel Bologna. (A Mock Time: A Star Trek Wedding (2007) placed 3rd (out of Top 10) for Best Short Film in The Industry RSVP Film Festival in July, 2007)Previously, Schooler finished portraying the starring character in the film "Protestskaya", (a story about a female Russian immigrant who survives on the streets of America), finished shooting a supporting role in Beautiful Dreamer (2006), a WWII, 1940s poignant film (starring Brooke Langton ), and completed shooting Duncan's earlier comedic film called The Shabbos Bigfoot (2006). In addition, Schooler recently completed portraying Hedy Lamarr for Mischief Films/BBC's movie Calling Hedy Lamarr (2004) about Hedy Lamarr's life story, which opened at The Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland (got Honorable Mention), the Hamptons Film Fest., AFI Film Festival, as well as Sundance. Prior, she finished starring on the Fine Living Network's new show "Your Reality Checked" (2004), as well as a supporting comedic character for the AFI/ DWW (Dir. Wkshop for Women) project Natural Born Salesman (2005).Earlier, she starred as Larissa in the comedic NYC short "8 O'Clock Madness" (dir. Sara Knight), and starred as Meg in the dramatic short Cut (2003), about a young woman in a mental institution - both have been released to the Festival circuit, & to IFC. Earlier, she completed the supporting role of Candy in the Vietnam film "Special Delivery". (Cut (2003) was one of the Top 8 Finalists in the Now Casting Film Festival at the Academy (2005).Other TV credits include: MOWs: Edgar Allan Poe: Terror of the Soul (1995) (TV), Strange Voices (1987) (TV), as well as "Medium" (2005), Nickelodeon's "Snow White", "Heartbeat: Pilot (#1.1)" (1988), "Pizza Man" (USA) and "General Hospital" (1963), among others. On film, she's also appeared in Francis Ford Coppola 's Dracula (1992), Oliver Stone's The Doors (1991), and has worked on various independent films seen on IFC. She received extra acclaim on the Independent film circuit for her starring part as "Frankie" in the short film "In the Claire De Lune".Schooler has worked her dramatic skills at The Actor's Studio, has studied with such teachers as Shelley Winters, Susan Peretz, & Clyde Ventura, and has been directed by Martin Landau, Robert Berlinger, and Tony Award winner, Tony Tanner, among others. Most recently, she studies with Stephen Book and has also studied with inspiring teacher and coach, Susan Anspach. Comedically, she has trained with Gary Austin (Founder of the Groundlings), Robin Menken (Second City), Sandra & Dee Caruso, and has worked with several comedians from the Comedy Store. She has performed in numerous theatre productions in Los Angeles and New York.Prior to "Stand Through the Eyes of a Child", Schooler portrayed the cancer patient Danielle in the Mark Goffman play called "Me Too" at The Stella Adler Theatre (2006). Prior, she portrayed Cordelia in Tony Award winner/director Tony Tanner 's new productions of "King Lear", and as Natasha in his new musical adaption/prod. of Checkov's "Three Sisters". Before this, she was last seen as Jane Lane in Tennessee Williams's "Demolition Downtown", which was a specifically selected piece for the renowned NoHo Arts Festival. She also portrayed Myra in Tennessee Williams's "The Long Goodbye". Previously, she was chosen as one of the LA Weekly's "star turn" performances as Mary Magdalene in Ivan Kauffman's "He Was Here", to rave reviews.Her most recent endeavor has been Voiceover work for Walmart's TV & Radio campaigns, as their Spokeswoman, & of Lois Lane for Warner Bros.'s past release of "Superman 2". Currently, Schooler is in development writing her own comedic One-woman show, "Got Nerve", to be performed in 2010.
