After high school Lisa Benavides was accepted to The Julliard School where she ended up meeting her future husband Tim Blake Nelson. After some Broadway and off-Broadway work she found her way into movies, solidly playing supporting parts in "O" and "The Grey Zone."She now teaches at the Actor's Center, as well as teaching acting at the prestigious Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase, the same school where Edie Falco, Stanley Tucci, Parker Posey, Kirk Acevedo, and attended.
