A pioneering Hollywood stuntwoman, she worked in motion pictures for over 50 years. A world-class athlete, she was a member of the U.S. women's vollyball team, and played in two world championships. At age 50 she was a silver medalist at the Pan-Americna games in Chicago. She appeared in over 100 films, not only as a stunt person but also as a character actress. Swimming and diving stunts for Dorothy Lamour, stunt double for Vivien Leigh and Donna Reed among others, she recieved a lifetime achievement award from Women in Film in 1933.
