Moved to Hampton Bays, Long Island, writing "East End Wanderings" for the L.I. News Review. Retired in 1981. His scrapbook collection resides in the 'Billy Rose' collection at the New York Library of the Performing Arts (Lincoln Center). Honoured by the Acting Academy of America for contributions to the Theatre.
