He produced and starred in the movie Lonely in America (1990), which was directed by Barry Alexander Brown and featured a cameo by Spike Lee. Malik has appeared in numerous commercials and in several off-off-Broadway plays, including: "The Indian Wants the Bronx", "The Hot'l Baltimore" and "A Better Tomorrow". Most recently, he played the role of "Krishna" in the 3-D film, Little Magician (2002). He currently lives in New York City.
