Mia was born and raised outside of San Francisco in Berkeley, California, but moved to southern California after high school to attend UCLA, School of Theater. The day before her graduation from UCLA, Mia left the states to study with the theatre troupe 'Alas De Cabri' who perform with the Verona Opera House in Italy. Encouraged to follow her dreams as a child, Mia is an artist by nature and nurture. She plays in several bands, enjoys making experimental films with whomever will amuse her ideas and started writing her first novel when she was 21. She is quoted to have said, "Film is just another outlet to express oneself and turn the gray world into a rainbow of the absurd. I still believe in the magic of movies, when it's gone, don't come looking for me, I won't be around."
