Storyline
It's 1954, and up-and-coming U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital. He's been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons, but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything - his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.

Intense but confusing 

Intense movie - loooks like CApri is developing a knack for \\\'mind\\\' movies like this one and inception.
Watch it once if you like the type.

Well done! 

Although I wasn\'t taken by this movie at first as I thought it would be darker, the more I think about it, the more I realise how good it was. Good plot/twists and some great acting from Leo and Ben Kingsley.

My wife liked it I wasn\'t sure 

I felt a little cheated by this, I realised the premise and you would be a fool not to recognise the potential outcomes but you can\'t help thinking that it\'s just a bit of a cop out. To be fair it is well done and it entertains you along the way but that\'s about it for me.

Not What I Expected 

Based on the trailer and previews, I did not expect what the movie delivered. It did offer the spooky effect, however, the storyline kind of dragged on. About half way through the movie I thought it became predictable. I like DiCaprio but this was not my favorite movie.
