She befriends Larry, who shares another room in the house with Dutch, and tries to help her. When Dalia is found dead in the room with cuts in the wrists, the evidences are of suicide; however Detective Joyner suspects that Michelle is the responsible for the murders.

A couple, Krissy Neepenak (Larissa Tobacco) and Robbie McGregor (Brian Edward Roch), is making it out on a boat at night. Suddenly, she hears something, but he laughs it off, it's just a hapless animal. A little while later, she compalins because of his cold wet hands. He realises it's not him: it's the cold wet tentacle of a huge octopuss. The monster crashes the boat and only Robbie survives.
Dan Leland (James Van Der Beek) arrives to the town to make an objective assessment of the reduction in number of the catch. Katrina Tomas (Alexandra Castillo) is the new sheriff of the town, so she asked the government to investigate into the matter. She takes the scientist to the ship of Gunnar Thorson (Arne MacPherson) who is rude to him because he thinks it'll be all a waste of time. The fishermen think it's just the native's fault, because they fish whatever they want without a licence. Jordy (Erik Fjeldsted) and Spider (Stephen Eric McIntyre), two of the fishermen, constantly blame the Indians.
The first thing which Dan realises is that a huge bank of fish has suddenly disappeared. The sonar of Dan detects a huge something which does not responde to the radio messages. They approach the thing and it's the remains of the boat of John McGregor, Robbie's father. The fishermen find the body of Bobbie lying there, completely unconscious. They take him to their fishing boat.
Robbie is barely alive. He talks about a monster in North Point who threw him overboard and ate Krissy. He dies immediately afterwards. Dan studies the remains of the boat and takes photographs of them. When Katrina sees to the dead body of Robbie, the fishermen don't want to talk about the "monster squid", and say that Robbie was having hallucinations. Will Neepanak (Ryan Rajendra Black) appears to see the body of Robbie. He blames Katrina because she thought it useless to look for his sister Krissy until 24 hours had gone by. Will never had liked Katrina anyway.
Another tourist has disappeared, a James "Jim" Connor (Ryland Thiessen) who first was walking by the beach shore, and the next second, he's nowhere to be seen. He leaves wife and two children. Soon afterwards, Katrina and Dan find the torso of a dead man on the shore. Katrina asks for an autopsy specialist to come for the town, but it will take 72 hours.
Katrina and Dan go to drink something to a bar. They say the 10 reasons why fishing is better than sex. Soon afterwards, a dry-land fisherman finds the leg of Jim. Katrina forbids everybody to fish all around the lake. Dr Mark Gorman (Tom Anniko) and Dr Dana Perch (Adrianna O'Neill), from the same agency as Dan, the NORA, find that the proofs are unconclusive. They think that there is no squid as big as that, and least of all in a lake. They don't even want Dan to talk about to anybody. Dr Gorman wants Dan to take the first flight out of the island.
The waitress of the bar, Candace (Alicia Johnston), explains to Dan the dangers for the economy of the region: without the fish factory, there will be poverty and misery all over the region. Candace also tells Dan that Katrina is a liar: when she was a child, her father disappeared in the lake, and she told everybody about the monster who took her father. Dan faces Katrina with that information, and admits NORA's refusal to keep the investigation open. Katrina says that everybody laughed about her, but that she still knows that what she saw was true. Dan says that NORA will try to protect the squid, so that even if they believed him, the fishery would have to be closed down.
Jen Thorson (Kelly Wolfman) and Ryan (Gabriel Daniels) is talking about the future of the town. The squid attacks when he is with Jordy. Jordy cuts one of the tentacles, and shows it to everybody. Jordy and Spider want to kill the animal.
Katrina and her mother (Kyra Harper) talk. Dan appears in the middle of the night, knocks at Katrina's door and asks for two ships. Jordy, Spider and Gunnar want to kill the squid on their own.
The first plan devised by Dan fails. They think of a second one: they are going to kill it with electricity. However, the huge squid kills Will, Jordy and Spider.
Gunnar is relieved. Dan jumps to the water to help Katrina, whose foot got tangled on a piece of coil.

Corporate real estate tycoon Hamilton Lux sets his sights on developing the quaint seaside town of Full Moon Bay into a prime getaway for the wealthy, but runs into some unexpected problems. Lifelong fisherman Daniel Wilder owns property exactly where Lux wants to build high-priced condos, and isn't planning to sell. Lux secretly laces the local waters with a toxin deadly to marine life, decimating the fishing industry in an attempt to starve Daniel out. Alas the chemical react differently on the area's sharks, drastically increasing their aggressive tendencies and transforming them into engines of pure destruction moving in coordinated swarms. Without fish to feed on, shark attacks on humans rapidly increase. Lux uses media contacts to paint the attacks as random incidents. Daniel, his marine biologist brother and a concerned E.P.A. agent must expose Lux's plan and rid the area of the chemically-altered sharks before the town's entire population is devoured by hungry sharks.

Doctor Wesley McClaren is an immunologist in Ennis, Montana, and he has turned down an offer to join his friend Richard Bach, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the head of a unit called the Biological Response Team (BRT). Wesley and his daughter Holly live on a farm in Ennis, and a farmhand named Frank lives with them. Just over the hill from the farm, a 52 day standoff against militia leader Floyd Chisolm has ended. Floyd has decided to be his own attorney in court. Everyone is shocked when Floyd spits on Judge Tomkins. After the hearing, Tomkins starts feeling sick. Holly, like she always does, stops at Wesley's office after school so she can go home with Wesley. On their way home, Wesley gets a call on his mobile phone. Wesley rushes to the hospital with Holly and tells her to wait in the doctors' lounge, then Wesley is taken to see Tomkins, who looks awful. Wesley is told that Tomkins collapsed in his chambers at the court building. Wesley sees a cop collapse, while Tomkins has a seizure. Wesley calls Richard and tells him to send the BRT. Army medical units are sent in, and Ennis is sealed off. Wesley tells Frank to stay in town instead of going to the farm, then Wesley tells Holly to stay where she is, because the town is dealing with an outbreak. Richard arrives in town and talks to Wesley, who knows that some kind of toxin has been released. Wesley asks Richard about an anti-toxin, then they go to Tomkins's room, where Tomkins has died. Richard tells Wesley that the toxin is a warfare product called NAM37, which is ten times more potent than anthrax. Richard also tells Wesley that a technician working for NAM37's developers stole a big sample of the NAM37 and was detained by security in Billings, Montana, one day after the NAM37 was sold to Floyd, but the technician killed himself before anyone could ask him any questions. After buying the NAM37, Floyd infected himself and started the outbreak by spitting on Tomkins. So far, 94 people have been infected, and the NAM37 has killed 5 people. Wesley takes a sample of Holly's blood, and Floyd is visited in jail by his right hand man and medical expert Nate Pogue, who has also been infected. and the anti-toxin Floyd bought along with the NAM37 only slows the NAM37 down instead of being a cure. Floyd's plan was to start the outbreak, then use the anti-toxin on himself. Floyd tells Pogue to get him out so they can get the anti-toxin that the army has brought into town. Later, a group of men led by Pogue return to the jail, where they kill all of the guards and get Floyd out. Floyd and Pogue go to the hospital with their men, and they take the hospital hostage in hopes of getting the anti-toxin, only to discover that the army's anti-toxin is the same anti-toxin Floyd bought. Richard explains that there have been times when NAM37 has mutated, and when it does, the anti-toxin doesn't work. Pogue sees Holly's blood sample and the sample shows that Holly has been infected, but somehow, she's okay and her body is fighting it off. Floyd wants Holly found. When one of Floyd's men finds Holly in the lounge and tries to grab her, Wesley beats the man up and goes to the farm with Holly and Frank. Floyd's men head to Wesley's farm, where Frank ambushes them and kills all of them except for one man, who kills Frank. Wesley and Holly take off with Frank's body, and ride their horses to a farm where Holly's Grandpa lives, and they give Frank a proper burial. Wesley takes a blood sample from his friend Ann, and just like Holly, Ann's body is fighting off the NAM37. Leaving Holly at her Grandpa's house, Wesley and Ann go to an underground lab that Wesley used to work in, where they plan to come up with a cure. Pogue, who is still at the hospital with Floyd, thinks he has found a cure, but he needs Holly's blood to isolate it. After Wesley finds the reason why Ann and Holly are not being affected by the virus, Wesley and Holly go home...where Holly is kidnapped by Floyd's men. Now Wesley must go to Floyd's headquarters and rescue Holly.
