The son of an Air Force officer, Madison spent his teen years in Charlotte, North Carolina where he began his career in Community Theatre and Summer Stock. After graduating from the famous Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England, he returned to America to appear in New York stage productions as well as several seasons of Regional Repertory theatre before moving to Hollywood and starting his film career.
